That final encounter was so forced makarov just shows up in the middle of a qte says a subpar one-liner kills soap and just screws off

Last missions of every CoD should start off guns-blazing and end with a bang, from car chases to last stand on a falling bridge, from boat chases to throwing a knife to the boss' eye after jumping off a waterfall, from blasting your way through a hotel as a jugg to hanging your nemesis to death on top of said hotel. This mission feels structured like act 1 or act 2 missions, no wonder people complained about pacing issues.

Man I knew soap was gunna have to die again. But like this one was anti climactic. Original mw3 had you fighting through the streets carrying him on your back desperately trying to save him. The story felt more thought out and well paced compared to this, this here just falls flat.

So my assumption on why it felt anti-climactic was because this Modern Warfare is supposed to be more grounded in reality. Not the Bay like films of the 2009, 2011 Modern Warfare. So deaths like Soap in 2023 MW3 is how it goes most times I believe. You don’t always meet the end by factors like jumping off a tower to escape an explosion. Just being outmaneuvered in a few seconds of CQB and shot is how it goes sadly.

My favourite missions on COD modern warfare have always been the London Attacks.

Remember in the original mw3, when soap was killed off, it had dramatic build up, emotion, and price refusing to accept that his brother was gone. Now its just like soap is dead ... and price is like "oh no ... my friend is KIA"

Well, in my opinion, the story goes too flat because we have no that much of character bonding throughout the game ? When Soap died, it didn't feel like when he died in the old MW3. I think the Free Weapon mission is too much until we have less interaction between each character, therefore it felt so flat even when there's important character died in the game. It's not Call Of Duty I remember, the new MW and MWII still delivered better story and character interaction after all.

4/10 - Copying episodic storytelling from TV shows is one thing. Not making any modifications to the style is either laziness or not enough time. Also there are so many cities they can take the battle to. Why keep it to the cities they've already covered? 7/10- The Warzone style open gameplay has potential, but having every mission to be open is bad game development. 8/10 - New mechanics like armor plates, hacking and armoured turrets are a plus. Might be the only positive thing. 10/10 - The acting is swell.

I've played every console campaign since COD2 and this has to be my least favourite campaign. Its very obvious that the original plan was to have no main COD title this year and have a story expansion for MWII. The story expansion would introduce Makarov and set the stage for a proper MWIII. However Activision panicked/pivoted and flipped to a full release and the only way to realistically deliver a full "campaign" was to take WZ/DMZ content and brand it Open Missions. Absolutely hated these so far and hopefully we won't see them in a future campaign. Shame as the original MW3 is one of my favourites

This mission honestly felt like an action movie and brings back memories of the Piccadilly mission back in MW19 But I’m just curious, wouldn’t be better to let the SAS handle the operation instead of the CTSFO since they are facing against a bunch of well trained and well armed mercenaries even though the CTSFO which equivalent to SWAT are cops that was trained in counter terrorist operations

for some reason they show SAS on the pictures every time they mention SFO on the cinematics. So i think it was changed at some point and they forgot to change the SAS pictures

I really enjoy they've at least done some research and decided to include CTSFO. There have been operations in the past (and probably more we don't hear of) where SAS and CTSFO do joint-ops since CTSFO do train with SAS on the regular. I remember MW1 that Gaz is originally CTSFO in the Piccadilly mission. But it's meant to be SAS in the Clean House mission. And then Gaz is deployed across the world with 141 so he must have been an SAS attaché and not just Police... Let's just say the game is loose with jurisdictions and who does what!

feels like they forgot all about the civilian blend-in thing from the previous game and just tossed it in here at the end. What about all the other garbage missions with their 'open world' concept? Those could have used some effort too.

I feel like the open combat missions ruined the pacing of the missions and ruined the structure of the franchise. The best mission in my opinion was the first one because at least that had some sort of tactical structure. They could of utilised more mission variety if they didn’t have to squeeze it in 9 short missions.

I didn’t enjoy this campaign, but it’s not the worst. Black Ops 3 imo holds supreme as worst campaign. But this? I feel Infinity Ward can come back from this…if they actually try.

Since warzone 1 dropped, call of duty changed forever, MW2 2022 was rubbish and low quality than MW 2019 and MW3 2023 was just rushed and not on story point, there are a thousand errors i can name with the story if you ask me, it just dosent make sense!! When Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare had wepon free missions like wepon discovery, it felt more nice and not as underwhelming as MW3 2023 All they did was want to make a couple of bucks to add some new collabs to warzone. This is not the call of duty we know!
