I recently read Marty's book. The part where he talks about how Steve was on the verge of tears when Martin first told him how serious Nancy's condition was still stuns me.

I can't believe I was driven to laugh and to cry in such a short time, by the same person. This is what I hope we all are able to appreciate in life - true friendships. I so wish these two would tour again, so I can experience the pleasure of their company.

There was an actual SNL skit called Jew, not a Jew. Tom Hanks was the host and played the gme show host. I think three of the choices were Anne Bancroft, Penny Marshall, and Ed Koch.

Love both of them, great actors and comedians. When I found out that Martin was going to be on Law and Order: SVU I was excited because he's such a great actor. My gosh hos character scares the living out me😱

Love Martin Short….He told similarly hysterical jokes (used different name for Uber driver, Bea Arthur dressing room, etc.) at the Canadian Candy Awards when Martin Short was awarded the lifetime achievement award.Both Steve Martin & Martin Short are both treasures.

Martin Short has gotten better with age. I simply didn't like him when he was young. There's something about longevity that - if you last - makes you better as time goes by.

modsoul1 That's so not fair. Martin Short is such a talented comedian. His true fans treasure his work even though he's had less work than Steve. You can't trust Hollywood to value real talent.
