Sure it isn't you you're trying hardest to convince!? Seems likely when you're here watching not soccer, but a game that never has nil-all draws? Good taste. Other countries in the world have had very little exposure to afl. Give it time though-because when people on KZfaq videos are shown watching it for the 1st time, more often than not they say it's the most exciting game they've ever seen. P.S. I've gotta admit though, soccer must be incredible if it's the game in 240 countries-out of the total of 195 countries that exist in the world! Lol.😂

AFL commentators do not understand the meaning of so many words. Genius. Stevie J kicks three goals in just over a qtr of footy. He is a genius....? WTF? Hand the fella a Nobel Prize for what? Having one skill in his life? I admire Aussie Rules players for their multi discipline skills but to be comparable to a genius? No. When Bruce retires I will not miss his 'statement dressed up as a question'. "Oh, he's been amazing hasn't he?" "His skills by foot are a pleasure to watch, don't you reckon?" Being at this match was a delight. By far the loudest match I've witnessed and I was there for the Essendon come back in the final qtr of GF 1984. This Hawks team was immense!

Commetti's comments at 13.50 are interesting. Wonder if he ever thought to review his opinion of this team once the 2015 season had ended?
@mabiorcholappreciationpage4 жыл бұрын
At the time, it was a valid point. Hawthorn won the Grand Final in 2008, but then finished 9th the year after, got sent out of finals first week in 2010, lost a prelim in 2011 and then lost a Grand Final in 2012. The Hawks needed a premiership to back up their success from 2008, and all that could've just gone down the drain if they lost this prelim

Commetti again at 24:41 "And the Cats will be hard to catch.." Um, excuse me Dennis...there's another qtr of footy to play and you're talking the Geelong team as if there's no opponent. Why do they spurt out such inane drivel?
@LongoHighlights4 жыл бұрын
2.5 goals ahead going into 3 quarter time, it's hardly a bad statement to say they would be hard to catch, he didn't say the game was over he just said it would be tough for the hawks to win - which it was lol
@classicafl4 жыл бұрын
More often than not that is a big enough lead at 3QT for a side to go on and win.
@shannonpincombe84854 жыл бұрын
@@LongoHighlights I know it was a tough to win, I was there with my daughter...it was her birthday. What a gift! We, the Hawks, had lost unlosable games against the Cats for years and this seemed like another possible defeat at 3qtr time. But there was something in the way the Hawks players walked to the huddle. The stares they shared. The little head nods. Like, "Not tonight. No fucking way!" And how did anyone believe the Hawks, and that talent laden squad wasn't going to give this game a red hot shake in the final term? History tells us that Hawthorn DID win and then went on to win the first of three flags. The last two after losing arguably the most damaging player the game has seen in decades. Pretty damn good. Thanks for the reply. Enjoy what footy comes this season. 🤟
@shannonpincombe84854 жыл бұрын
@@classicafl Not against this side, in this form. Go back and watch most of the heavily contested matches from this era. There were always ebbs and flows and dominant efforts from sides who then faded due to the inevitable lack of legs late. I loved this match. I took my daughter as it was her birthday that very day. That crowd was the loudest I've ever experienced and I've seen a ton of finals(being a long term Hawthorn member that is a given) and Grand Finals...but this was 'extreme decibels' to the point of becoming white noise at stages. I kid you not....people around me were screaming(instead of talking)and those sitting beside them couldn't hear a thing as the collective din was too great. Straight up madness and the noise when the final siren went was over the top insane. Thanks for the reply pal. I enjoy talking footy. Not the program...too much bullshit.
@classicafl4 жыл бұрын
@@shannonpincombe8485 good point you raise. I sadly remember my Crows losing to Port in 2013, despite leading by four goals with only four minutes left. Those big exciting comebacks don't really happen often anymore sadly because games have become too lowscoring.
