Good rankings

Has anyone from the U.S. been able to watch full matches lately? I haven’t and was hoping there was a way to fix whatever’s going on.

I reckon this is pretty spot on! If asked in isolation where you'd put Carlton/Dees I don't reckon anyone would initially think 5th and 6th, but when you think about who should land above them, it makes sense! Good stuff

I get that these power rankings are CURRENT power, so it makes sense to put the bombers there. However, I don’t see them holding anywhere near the top 4 by the end of the year. Most of their wins have come against teams that we now know to be quite weak (bulldogs, Adelaide, west coast, hawthorn, and the saints), with admittedly a good win against GWS, but even then we can see that GWS isn’t as good as people thought. Of course the Anzac Day draw was genuinely impressive. I think sometimes people have a tendency to get carried away with Wins and Losses, instead of looking at the opponents they’ve faced. Essendon have been notorious for being fast starters (like GC): they are usually quite impressive in the first third of the season, but then tend to fade away towards the end. Let’s not forget what their last game of 2023 looked like. Honestly, I’d hold on moving Essendon up beyond 6th at the moments; I think they still need to prove it in the back end when their draw gets much tougher. Again, they’re yet to face Geelong, Sydney, Melbourne, Port or Carlton.

Richmond were stronger when they beat the Swans and the Swans had the Wicks saga during the week leading up....but that loss remains an embarrassment for my team considering what has happened since. Nice work Jesse.

as a carlton supporter im not happy to be below essendon and collingwood. however, it is to be expected and i would actually say that both essendon and collingwood should be above geelong. if you go by the last 5 rounds geelong has only won 3 of the last 5 games

From the last four games Sydney have four wins, Collingwood and Essendon both have three wins and a draw, the next best is Hawthorn with three wins. Every other club has less than three, therefore Hawthorn should be fourth on your ladder. OK, I don't really believe that but the numbers are true.

I think the most recent results should count for more. I know that nobody in Geelong is panicking but you can't say their form is good. They should be lower, 5th-7th. Aside from that I think the rest is justified.

The reason Carlton have been playing poorly compared to before is because we have most of our good midfielders out and we just can’t get any good marks inside 50, the problem with Carlton is that we have a great team, maybe best in the league, but an extremely injury prone one and if we get a few good players out in the finals, we are done for.

Bombers way too high lost by 70 points to port. Narrowly beat eagles. Robbed the crows, Gws is there only notable win. How can a team with 98% be placed that high in power rankings that’s crazy switch bombers with Carlton and it’s a good ranking
