On Thursday 9 December in partnership with Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks agency we welcome Black Motion to perform a live broadcast in The Barberton Makhonjwa Mountains World Heritage Site, Mpumalanga. South Africa
Mpumalanga is one of the more beautiful provinces in South Africa. Because of the vast stretches of nature with an abundance of wildlife, the region is one of the most beautiful places in the country. The literal translation of the name Mpumalanga from the Swazi, Xhosa, Ndebele and Zulu languages is “the land of the rising sun”. It is said these are the oldest mountains on Earth and the reason they remain standing tall is not known. Among Africans, is there a geo-physical/spiritual reason as to why this is so? With Credo Mutwa's passing, I am not sure who to ask. I would have liked to walk these lands with him. Thank you to all who have put this together; including the musicianship, the transport and setup of equipment, and the will of all to unite in such a spirited vision. Greetings of love from just south of the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York.

This is toooo much.....I can't find the right words to describe the experience I'm having....It's deeply spiritual. Here's the interesting part: I'm a theologian, and Afrohouse and tribal music really connects with me at at deep level. I'm connected to my roots and ancestors as I engage in my work.
