Going up Stelvio pass on a beautiful October day.
The best way to ride it is from north (Prato allo Stelvio) to south (Bormio).
Then you’ll be ‘climbing’ up those famous serpentines.
The hairpin turns can be challenging for new and experienced riders.
Not many cyclist in the late afternoon.
Tools:
Africa Twin CRF 1100 DCT and the Conti Trial Attack 3 is doing a good job.
With the DCT you can comfortably switch through the gears up and down. 😇

... zugeklebter tacho kommt immer gut 👍 beneidenswert wenig verkehr, tolles wetter, gutes video 👍

…das war wirklich ein verkehrsarmer Nachmittag. Da hat mir wohl ein Vogel auf den Tacho gesch*ssen. 😂 Die Geschwindigkeit ist im lebensbejahenden Bereich und der AT Tacho eilt 10km/h voraus.

So sollte man keine Kurven fahren. Mach besser mal ein Training, nicht das doch mal einer von oben kommt...

Danke lieber Uli. Ich habe ein Blicktraining gemacht, und wenn nichts kommt verwende ich gerne so viel Asphalt wie der Herr mir gegeben hat. Amen. 🙏 @ulirollmann1036 Wie oft bist du schon das Stilfser Joch gefahren? Ich vermute, du antwortest darauf auch nicht. Das du ein Training gemacht hast finde ich sehr gut. Habe ich auch gemacht, aber ich kann trotzdem nur geradeaus fahren. 😊

@@MopedWanderlust Niemand wird gerne kritisiert. Uli nicht und auch ich nicht, aber ich muss ihm ein wenig Recht geben. Man sieht, dass du insbesondere in den Rechtskurven mit dem DCT am strugglen bist. Es fehlt die Kupplung zum Schleifen. Ist ja auch keine Schande. Ich hätte nicht die Eier gehabt mit dem DCT da hoch zu fahren, sage ich ganz ehrlich. Trotzdem ein schönes Video :)

…mai….ist doch absolut Okay, wenn das jemandem nicht gefällt. Ich gehe nicht davon aus, dass Uli dort schon gefahren ist. Und wenn kein Platz gewesen wäre, hätte ich mir den auch nicht genommen. ✌️

@@MopedWanderlust Mich halten aktuell tatsächlich 2 Dinge von der AT DCT ab, daher habe ich die r1300GS gekauft. 1: Die Vibrationen um 80 kmh finde ich ein wenig nervig. 2. Ich würde bei Serpentinen mit dem DCT einfach nicht klarkommen, glaube ich :(

Glückwünsche zu deiner GS. Das hält mich von der GS ab - kein DCT. ☺️ Die Vibrationen bei 80 km/h wurden bei meiner AT vergessen auszuliefern. Vielleicht fahre ich aber auch einfach zu selten um 80 km/h. Freue mich, wenn wir uns mal bei einem Kaffee begegnen (besser beim Kaffee als in meiner Rechtskurve 😝).

@@MopedWanderlust io abito proprio qui sotto lo stelvio , ho un africa twin dct anche io , ma le curve le faccio bene senza alcun problema , sempre nella mia corsia , tu sei molto pericoloso nel video , forse ci vuole un corso di aggiornamento x i tornanti !

S1 or S2. It is an aftermarket exhaust from Leo Vince. EU Street Legal.

@@MopedWanderlust i have a gs, and i really like the dct, but unfortunatelly the wind buffeting and overall the wind protection on africa is really bad. thats why i was asking, if you changed because of this. thanks

Yes, you can improve the wind buffering. If you are very sensitive to this in particular you most probably won’t be happy on any other bike than your GS. This is a very subjective topic and opinion of mine.
