Some nasty catty comments from Black women who should know better. Like People of color don't suffer enough abuse at the hands of others, now instead of thanking this sister and giving her props, they want to nit pick her statement just because they can't find anything else to complain about. Shame on you. Thank you sister for making this video easy to understand and for FREE!! I always wanted to lear African Dance and more about my people on my grandfathers side of the family, but I can't afford expensive classes and tutors. You ARE appreciated.

Harlem Duke Im just seeing this and wanted to say thank you so much for your appreciation I know my dance platform is a work in progress. And I plan to make it even better in 2018. I hope you'll dance with me. And thank you for positively encouraging!

Thank You Harlem Duke, this statement was so on point. How are we going to denigrate our own while turning a deaf ear to all of the horrid abuse prevalent 24/7 from this System of White Supremacy and their affiliates...

What comments are your reading? I didn't read all the comments, but I did read quite a few of them, and I did not see any negative comments. It looks to me that everyone really like the video and are looking forward to seeing more of her videos.

Thank you so much for this wonderful introduction to African dance. I'm 55 and have been looking for an inspiring and energetic workout form that is fun. I've found it! I spent a few months in the Casamance back in the early 1990's and it left a deep impression on me. Its wonderful to re-engage with some lovely positive elements coming out of African culture once again. Blessings and Love x

Thank you very much Bashirrah. I am a bit sick today and was only able to do the beginner level otherwise I would have done so much more today. I love martial arts and strength training yet personally, the most holistic and complementary dancing to it for me is African dancing. It's the one form of dancing where I feel my heart sings via my body. You are an excellent teacher xoxo

I really needed this today to help me build my endurance bank up. After years of not dancing I struggle with keeping up in African dance class so I stopped going. I am healing from hypothyroidism/hashimoto's and it has affected my endurance and energy. I hope to get this weight off and feelings if depression. Thank u.

So easy to follow- this white girl ( aka me) didn’t Think she had the mind, core or hip freedom because of years of strength building but the moves were repetitive and explanation easy to follow- taking this into my Buti Yoga teaching minus the sacral back bend (to train the deep inner core engagement I want to be mindful of sacral instability in taking it back -genetics, heritage and work out history and low back tightness or injury might make this concerning.) but super yeah yeah it’s beautiful free and joyful, thanks girl!

You are a good dancer and fitness instructor, the dance moves are really beautiful, and you are a beautiful lady as well. However, the musician playing sounded like he is still learning (I do apologize, but it looks so to me) He loses the rhythm form time to time. This would be even more enjoyable and easy to follow if you have used other music (or a more experienced percussionist)
