Golden oldie by Chuck Berry. Every bar band knows how to play it. Bruce has a lot of fun with these.

You just gotta love how most of these guys have been doing this for a living for decades and it's still crystal clear how much they enjoy and love performing and how the band and the crowd feed off each other's energy. Springsteen & the E Street Band concerts are almost a religious experience.

Bruce always gives his all. He says in his autobiography that he suffers from bad depression, and despite trying various medications he's never found relief as he finds when playing live. It's why his sets run to 4+ hours, as he just doesn't want to stop, as he feels alive. He feels awake, he feels present, and most importantly, that demon black dog is at bay... As a someone who also suffers from clinical depression, I totally understand what it means to keep that demon dog at bay. If just for those few moments. ❤️

At concerts people come with written requests of songs, some of them gets played that is why you never know whats going to happen at a perticulal concert of him and the musicians have to ready for it but its always been like that. I can recommend the song Youngstown from Live in New York..

Great version of a Chuck Berry classic. I'm from Memphis and if Elvis is the King, Chuck Berry is the Godfather of rock n roll. Bruce is of course The Boss.

So, truly, was this ad hoc, or scheduled?? Hard to imagine the horns were impromtu....any core band could wing it, but the horns in unison...I don't know, but always trust Bruce.
