I was 8 when this came out and trust me it was a prime time event. Love the opening sequence very Disney. The kid dancing was awesome too, I know it impressed MJ. But that choreography from the floor to the balcony was 🔥. Nothing needs to be said about the lean, shocked everyone when I was a kid. Man, MJ just shook the world, if only this generation experienced it.

He choreographed the entire dance sequence and co-wrote the song, even performed the same dance in his live shows of this song. Best male dancer that ever lived Imo. Nobody could ever truly dance like he could dance. It's quite amazing. Often copied, never matched. A true masterpiece of music and video here as well. I was there when he hit the big-time and he was so massive and unbelievable that even we who were alive at the time didn't realize his full command of his craft. He just never missed, and his material gets better and better as time goes by. Even in the 70s when he was the singer for the Jackson 5, you could tell he had something beyond what siblings had and he was the youngest one! The guy had his demons later in life but he was a phenomenal performer. I'm a metalhead and always have been but MJ really had something magical. There's never been any body like this cat, before him or since. Smoothest Criminal ever! Love me some MJ.

Vincent Patterson did a big chuck of this. MJ co-choreographed. There’s videos of both of them rehearsing this. It’s MJ Prima donna, his masterpiece!
