You can use a fork or fingers - take a small piece off the fuu fuu and dip in the soup (cover the whole "ball" of fuu fuu with soup) and eat.

favorite dish is fufu my mom makes it a bit differently not so spicy. we also use beef instead of goat meat.

Do you add salt to the pounded yam? Is that boiled yam that you are pouring out of a pot or you buy the pounded yam flour? I never had African food, but most Jamaican food is the same, just cooked different. I mostly eat American and Italian food, my fiancé is Ghanian so I want to learn to cook African food.

No, the pounded yams are not salted. Traditionally, the yam is boiled and then pounded to create the dish. Most modern preparations call for pounded yam flour reconstituted with hot water using the method in the video. Thanks for watching!
