Hell no they won't because it would die in less than a year. Black Americans FBA started Hip Hop, it does not matter if some damn other people were watching us and learning our style and how to do what we were doing, Black Americans were the inventors and creators of it period, its all we had because we were shut out of everything else. I was there when it was invented maybe not in New York, but I had relatives that use to visit me and my family in Florida from New Jersey and New York as well as South Carolina so I know what we were learning and knew about the culture and who created what. Afrika Bambaataa shady past aside, you have a comprehension problem. Bambaataa was attacking the superficiality of the titles and he aimed it at Puerto Ricans & Dominicans too, are did you SELECTIVELY not hear that? He was speaking to our shared African Ancestry which I will agree with. But that's not the debate amongst Black Americans, it's about another group of people claiming they created something that they didn't. Jamaicans share same Ancestry as us and are 10x more likely to recognize than most Latinos. Yet Black Americans don't claim to have started Reggae 50/50 although you had a few Reggae artist who were Black American. So what, that's there wonderful music inspired by our share African Ancestry. but is totally a product of Jamaica and Jamaicans. And I'm ok with that despite the fact that I listen to Reggae EVERY DAY as a Black American. So you need to replay this clip because he is correct that them folks created these labels for African descendants, but that has nothing to do with musical origins of Hip Hop.

Where are the progenitors of FBA Hip Hop culture and cultural music on any Caribbean island? Where did the degenerate Bam, Herc, Flash and the Puerto Ricans get it from? Who did they study? There were FBA B-boys before the Puerto Ricans and FBA’s have created 100’s of dances around the country in Hip Hop since creating Break dancing, what about the Puerto Ricans? There were FBA DJ’s before the Caribbean’s stepped foot on American soil. There were FBA MC’s before any Caribbean stepped foot on American soil. FBA’s rhyming has been a staple in FBA culture throughout this country since the 1920’s and 30’s, were they rhyming on those Caribbean islands in the 1920’s and 30’s? Dressing fly has been a staple in FBA culture since the 1860’s, how were they dressing on those Caribbean islands in the 1860’s?

In this clip bambaata he made a case for black people and Puerto Ricans being the same. I didn’t hear where he refuted lord jamar. It’s kool herc coke la roc,and bam.who you said yourself is the most important in hip hop, neither one of them was Puerto Rican. So what role could they have played?

1 if they are the same living in the same neighborhood doing the same thing, then by definition that makes them apart of the origins and tries to separate them is like separating “mixed” from “Black”. 2 coke la roc isn’t apart of the trinity of Hip-Hop. The two are and grandmaster flash and none of them are American Black so what role did they play? The Puerto Rican role was mainly in DJ, Breakin & graffiti but they did the other two as well and being foundational to NY Black music which Hip-Hop comes from

@@JavenBullets coke la roc was the first rapper. Black and Puerto Ricans is not the same. even though bam tried to make a case. The Puerto Ricans dj you talking about was introduce to djing by somebody black.wiz being one of them they came when all the elements were already in place.the first DJ,rapper, graffiti artist ,Bboys (later breakdancing)all were black. Scratching was started by Black people. What part did the Puerto Ricans bring if they were so involved?you should be able to give me something, you can just say there was Puerto Rican DJs I guess so after Black people started the culture.
