To clarify things, we muslims do not pray to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, as stated by the narrator of this story. We pray not to Profet Muhammad or to anybody else or anything else but to God. We do not forge associates to God as He has no associates of any kind on Earth or in Heaven. God is one and self sufficient and has no parents, wife, son, family etc and only to God we submit. Muhammad is only a messenger and Profet of God, like Jesus, the son of Mary, Moses etc. We believe in God, in his angels, in this Messengers and prophets, we believe in his books (e.g Qur'an, Gospels, Torah, Psalms etc) and we believe in resurection, we believe in the Judgement Day and in the hereafter. We follow the path of Abraham, the monoteist, and peace be upon him, and we believe in what was revealed to him, in that which was given to Ismael, to Isac and to the twelve tribs, we believe and follow what was revealed to Moses (Torah) and to Jesus, the son of Mary, (Gospel), and may peace be upon all of them. We believe on what was revealed to all the Prophets and messengers of God and we make no distinction among them and only to God we submit and pray to.
