Welcome to the Ruddy Brew. My name is T. Edge, King Bica, for the brew. Today we are talking Afro Iraqi slaves. I wonder what 1500 years of being black in Iraq is like. My first question is "do black lives matter in Iraq?" According to articles on these people known as the Zanj, it does not. The current social issues in the middle east have things a little tense as their politicians many times end up being assassinated while fighting for their rights. There seems to be a need for black justice around the world. I think there's more to the story than what is being relayed and I think that they don't want me to tell you this, but 1500 years ago the Jews were being enslaved in Iraq, formerly known as Babylon. So, my next question is, "where did the Jews go?" The vibes I get make me feel that these slaves are connected in some way. After all Ezra the prophet left Babylon to rebuild the temple but sources say that his remains are in the land of Iraq. Don't take my word for it, do seminaries teach history? How does scholarship work?
Much of the history from that time tells a story of Israel vs Christianity. This history comes from a misinformed perception of the Jews of the bible, Hamites, Ur of the Chaldees and the like. When it comes to knowing your lineage, there seems to be a freedom in knowing your origins but don't be mad at me. You know I wanna talk about it. Let's go!
