I'm thrilled to see what Dennis Allen and Gary Kubiak have planned for us this season! Our top-ten defense is set, and our offense is primed for liftoff under Kubiak's leadership. One of my worst fears is we win a fools gold division title at 9-8 and the org gives DA and Carr an extension. This is exactly what happened to the Bucs- retained Bowles and gave Baker a big contract, and thus sealed their fate for a few seasons. I hate to say it, but a 4 or 5 win season would be the best thing for the Saints long term. There would be no illusions about the team and no more investing in mediocre personnel. I want the team to be among the best in the league again, bro…

I think Dennis Allen has figured it out. He needs a strong offensive coordinator who can draw up an offensive scheme and call the plays. Pete Carmichael was NEVER gonna be that guy. Dennis Allen can now focus mainly on the defense, what he does best. I think this could work. I really do. I haven’t felt this hopeful for the Saints since Drew Brees retired and Sean Payton abandoned ship. I’m excited to see what happens.

I really hope these become bad takes later! We keep getting that "stagnant" title just because we don't draft their favorites. Even when we do get good FA or draft picks, they still don't give us a fair shot!

I'm so glad that I wasn't drinking anything or operating dangerous machinery when I read the tittle of this video. You really should warn people. DA is a joke of a head coach. A GREAT defensive coordinator. A total disaster as a HC. I'm hoping Kubiak can save the day by letting DA just focus on the D.

I can understand some of the concerns of the Saints, but if the defense is good and the offense has a chance to be upgraded, how can the Saints not have SOME optimism at their potential best? I think DA is going to lean on Klint Kubiak to run the offense. His attention to detail and accountability will make the Saints a better team no matter what! I truly hope the Saints prove me wrong!

@@brandonbrown1908 Oline was much better, but Drew did have an uncanny sixth sense to avoid the rush. His line did get worse his last few years, leading to injury problems for the first time in his career.

@@cjwhodat392 Whats his record as head coach??? Yeah thats why. The defense is getting old. they had no pass rush last year and were mediocre at best. All the best talent on defense are old and you saw already Cam Jordans age catching up with him as his sack total plummeted. They keep picking first round bust like Payton Turner, Davenport who are meant to be Cams replacement. Then Kpassagnon tears his achilles. Chase Young coming off major injury and has never lived up to his draft selection. Lots of things NOT to be thrilled about. Not to mention the brutal schedule to start the season. I refuse to support that loser coach Dennis Allen with his one winning season.

Saints will go 11-6 at best or 9-8 at worst. If we stay mostly healthy I think we go 10-7 and win the division. We could have easily went 10-7 or even 11-6 last year if we were healthy.

It's not that Derek Carr can't take a step forward, it's that he *won't* because as far as he's concerned it's never his fault when you have a teammate you can yell at and blame, and of course, he doesn't have to because as far as Dennis Allen is concerned, Carr can do no wrong, and anyone else who could be a viable starter will never be allowed to stay on the team to threaten Carr's status and Allen's ego. Dennis Allen can't take a step forward because he's Jim Mora 2.0 More concerned in making sure he's not blamed for anything. Afraid to make a mistake. Too conservative and plays to not lose by too much rather than play to win. Makes decisions based on how he feels personally about the players rather than thier skill or the field or value to the team. Exactly like Jim Mora.

We’re mediocre. Only way you get better is to make changes. You did that offensively with the coaching. I think 2025-2026 is where this team makes the turn
