Great video Jay. I absolutely love the fact you're still in awe of certain cars and you got to fulfill a dream getting a ride in a CGT. I sat in a Maserati MC12 when they first came out in 2004. I was about 8 years old at the time. I don't really remember what else happened during my eighth year on this earth but I can remember that day and that moment like it was yesterday..

Total bust...I know it's a rare, expensive, and potentially "scary" car but I have to think that Jay was under the impression that the driving was going to be at least a little more involved than that...it hardly sounded like he got past 3-4k rpms.

Best ever passenger laps I've had in a car were in a mate's Carrera GT around Silverstone GP circuit. The guy can really drive. I'm not easily impressed having been doing track days for years with fast cars & bikes myself, but I had adrenaline shakes for 15 minutes afterwards. The track was a bit greasy & we were sideways a few times. but he just blitzed everything else out there. Just a shame for you James, that you didn't get to go at any speed.

The TVR Tuscan is the car like no other that stirs my senses, as you said in your video there is nothing else quite like it, it took my 15 years of working and saving before I actually got one, and now 1 year later it still gives me the same pleasure like no other car has and I spent a full year test driving other cars every weekend and no other car could touch it, the Tuscan is the car with the most personality of anything else for me

As a pilot I was not a car nut, but I had an Alfa GTV6 in my youth, many years later the Alfa owners club had a “day” in York, I walked round a corner and there she was, a red GTV6 and for the first time I had an emotional reaction to a car ........ah! The memories!😁

Last time I had this kind of excitement was at Blenheim palace a few years ago. A supercar day was going on and for the most part the car park was more interesting than the stands, apart from a stunning Jaguar XJR-15. Astonishing looking thing.

The car designed and build with no limits from the mind of a person who has proven that driver involvement and car control are top of mind, the McLaren F1 is the car that does if for me. I've been fortunate enough to see them in person a couple of times, but never been in one. The presence is enormous, but the car itself is so tidy and compact. It's just perfect.

For me would have to be a DB9 - poster car for my teenage years. Have been out in a DBS and that was a day I will never forget - properly got me right in the feels, but V12's tend to do that! :)

Love these things stunning motors, one of the hypercar types that always floated my boat was the GT1 but the early strassenversion before the 996 esque headlamps. Rare has rocking horse doo doo but love the shape.

This car does have a similar effect on me tbh. Though the car that actually got me into cars originally, rolled out of a petrol station, right in front of me when I was a kid. I saw this long, elegant bonnet, side vents in the wing and the engine rumble was making the pavement tiles shake. I was in awe. As it rumbled off I caught the name on the back. Possibly the best name any car ever had? "Interceptor" I had no idea cars like that existed. That was me sold on special cars.

997.2 GT3 RS for me. Friend picked one up a couple years ago and was lucky enough to get a shot. Mind completely blown. Not the quickest but that Mezger growl is something else. It made me properly emotional at the ring and it wasn’t even being driven flat out.

Hmm for me it’s hard there are two I’m thinking of, both are Concorde moments, but I think I’ll have to go with the McLaren F1. (The other was a Veyron)... As a kid I just remember watching the original Top Gear when Tiff was testing the F1 and it was that moment when he said “this is what you’ve all been waiting for” he floors it and you just see the trees in the back ground whizz by like nothing before.... well, that was a goosebump moment.

Dream car, just because it always has been, is the 1990s Aston V8 Vantage. An absolute slab of power and luxury, the later V600 editions could even crack 200 mph, which is absurd when you see the size of them. It's taken me a long, long time to accept the Astons that followed as being anything other than a bit wet.

For me there are two cars that gives me this feeling, I might be a little old style though, I'm 21 but cars doing it for me is older than me, I grew up with my dad having a Granada mk. 2 serie 2, so now I own one and its a very special car for me with a V6 with a sound that I can't say any other v6 gets close to sound wise, it's special to me, apart from the Granada it's E34s for me, straight six E34s

The car for me is and always will be the F40!!!!! Haven't had the pleasure yet but i live in hope. I did have a spirited drive of a 488 GTB recently and loved that but not in the same league as an F40.

For me, it would have to be the Aston Martin Vantage V8, as in Timothy Dalton's ride in "The Living Daylights" Bond film!! Of course it would be even better as a Siamese twin using the running gear of a modern Vantage clothed in the older Vantage's glorious bodywork - the best of both worlds!!! If I had to, I could even live without Q's mods (skis, rockets, etc!)...

I have never seen the GT but I do remember seeing a 959 randomly parked in a laneway just after they came out. I instantly knew what it was because I had a 1/24 Tamiya model of it. I have never seen one since.

Hi Jay For me the car loved it and crazy about it and make me love cars and the looks of them is Mercedes Benz cl65 2010 Brabus ... i went crazy over this car. Could not find any at the moment to buy. The ride is super comfy and the speed and how sticky to road it was. Ah my heart is beating everytime i see it on vids and on streets

It is the Carrera GT that does it for me. Manual, V10, ahead of it's time brakes, mid engined and no turbo.

In socal track days would have alot of Porsches like everywhere. You would see ferraris and McLarens etc. Along with a hypercar or two. Plus the usual suspects

Great video, that was a great way to sum up the Carrera GT. It is a car that I really respect. Many other cars could give me a similar feeling. Certainly a Lexus LFA, and a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren as well. Possibly a Ferrari is as special to some people, and the same goes for nice Bentleys (like the Continental S/R/T, Brooklands, and Azure). But I think that it is more special when the automaker is trying a new advanced formula for putting a car together. It make them rarer, yes, but more often seem as almost a "halo car".

For me, it has to be the Pagani Huayra Coupe. I first saw this car when it came out at Geneva in 2011. I was 13 at the time. Huge car fanatic and when the Huayra came out, it was just otherwordly to me. Especially for someone living in South Africa. Back in the early 00's, Pagani's were still expensive you know, but they were somewhat attainable. They were not the eye-watering 5 million euros they are now (Imola). But I still love it, that first-generation coupe, gullwing doors, gorgeous interior, literally art in motion. I'm now 23 - and still stuck in my head. There are better cars out there, but this is still number one in my mind and in my heart. It's just perfect. I have to get one, and I know I'm going to cry.

As a petrol head with gasoline heart, so many cars make me fizz it's hard to pick one 🤷‍♂️ as a kid I was obsessed with a Lamborghini Diable roadster or a Ferrari F40 but these days with the likes of the amazing designs of Pagani and Zonda and engineering excellence of Porsche and Ferrari I just cant pick. I love cars and how they make you feel 👊 so many amazing Machines these days, if money was no object I'd happily settle for the new Koinessege Gamera 😍😍 (but I've not heard it yet)

Only 1, needs to be a top 5 list, and here is mine in reverse order. The Porsche Carrera GT would probably come in at number 5 on my all time car list. At number 4 would be the Ferrari F50 (all about the engine & softer looks from the F40). At number 3 the BAC mono, just completely different from the rest. Number 2 would be a Jaguar XJ220, that car just looks fast when stationary! & at number 1, 3 cars from the same manufacturer the Mclaren. The F1, the P1 & Senna. Just wowza in an evolution of their high end hyper car. Damn my list has just turned up to top 7 😁😎.

Sorry, but I couldn’t let it stay on 918 likes when reviewing the CGT 😉! The CGT is right up there for me as well, as is the MacLaren F1 LM. You need to experience the CGT with straight pipes on a track, driven in anger. There is only one video that I’ve seen (which I haven’t been able to find since) where it was driven at 10/10s, and not just showboating sideways at lower speeds.

8C for me too (never seen one in the flesh though). Have seen a DB5 and a La Ferarri and both were knee trembling, jaw dropping experiences (you walk away, and then you go back again)
