i agree entirely with your fabrication argument. it was all player manipulation. all of their reasons were set up by them over time to justify their weekly removal. they did the weekly’s infrequently so players forgot, they got rid of the weekly in your dorm to help you forget, they repeated skins and weekly’s so often that people got tired of it and stopped doing them- i could go on. they did all they could to make the number of people completing weeklys as low as possible so they could say “yk what nobody does these so we’re gonna stop” i love this game so much and i love making content in it, but things are getting rough and it’s getting difficult to ignore. i truly hope they see this video and every other video being made and acknowledge community outcry

I have been getting that feeling needing to lean on something else and I have been craving that feeling of that community feeling again. I miss the constant events so much, they made the game feel absolutely alive, it would cause me to forget about the responsibilities of real life in those moments. I myself have been affected for the creation of maps. My recent one ^PlanZeta-Imperfectum took half a year to make, only to make 26k…from September of 2023..till now..June 2024…it disheartened me sooo much that my Truth or Dare room got more in which I made in a day… I am hoping that my next project ^TheMaze-Imperfectum will surpass that..because if it doesn’t..I do not know if I want to continue making games if I don’t get a lot of benefits. So I want to treat it as a gift to the community. A gift to those who were there for a long time. Me and my team worked on this for over a year.. And we want to hand it to you as a gift.. Rec room. Bring back that charm that was so beautiful. I miss it, we all miss it. The events, the activity, all of it. I love Rec Room so much with all of my heart. It has changed my life for the better. Thank you so much. I know a lot of workers in Rec Room care and I love that. I just hope that a lot more passions and charm gets brought back. For me. I mainly want that active feeling back again.

They are removing creator features and its bad they are forcing creators to use a BETA room thats a buggy mess, I dont want to use it but i am running out of limits v2 rooms

If anyone with authority in the Rec Room corporation is reading: If you truly care about your investors, then make sure those investors find out the community also loves the game. If they find that the important people in the Rec Room community can hardly stand it, that is NOT a good look. Please be open enough to understand this perspective.

I may have not played the game as much as you, but I fully agree. It is honestly sad that the game is on the way of dying. When companies don’t listen to their communities, it never ends well. 💔 We need more maps, and features in those RROs because that is how you keep a game alive. Sure, the community does a good job creating cool rooms, but that isn’t effort put in from the actual team/developers working for RecRoom(in most cases). Let’s pray that RecRoom staff members hear you out, and make an effort to update old and new RROs.

So, I just finished watching your video so here’s my opinion: I joined on March 5, 2024 and im currently level 45. I discovered Rec Room from a youtuber named Chary who uploads among us videos and I was super interested in Rec Room that I begged my parents to get me the game just a few days before my birthday. The Weeklys: I loved it so much even though I was only able to get 3 of them since I joined very late, for my thoughts I feel like they should put the same weeklys for the ones who doesn’t have it yet, like the galaxy shotgun which I wanted it but can’t buy it so the only way is the weeklys, back to it I think they can put like a 1000 to 2000 token reward for those who already have it. Rec Room’s weekly excuse was the worst. New RROs: I think I love MyLittleMonsters but again, they broke it by making it too hard with the light limit and the loading screen of death which freezes at 81 percent and send you back to my dorm room. For mobile you probably need to restart your whole device 🙄 Events: I think the invasion events and the League of Heroes fits the best on me, but too sad I wasn’t there to experience it since I was in school and had no taste of video games except for boring block games 😐 I wish they could bring it back again for the newer players. So that’s all my opinion because its getting to long and I don’t really care about the contests since I have no talent and allI wanted is for Rec Room to bring back the weeklys and the events and make some more EASIER quests cause im tired of playing Golden Trophy and I couldn’t even get through Act 1 of any other quests. So thats all and tbh I almost quit so many times because of the depressingly disappointings days of Rec Room. They’re not giving their own game the best🙄😐🙄😐🙄🙄😐

I've been building in RR for about four years now and I entirely agree with the points made here. Especially how the RR team needs to prioritize the community that I hold so dearly over maximizing profits at all costs.

Ok I will say a few things that I know that some parts in this video was talked about but no one really knows, now I'm not gonna completely side with RR, because actually a good portion of what Ruth is saying is true, but I just want to give a little insight. First off, the weeklies, specifically the old ones where we did get a skin each week, I have learned from a trusted Rec Room staff member that the old system, there was only really ever around 1% of the community that did them, especially near when they changed it to monthlies. Secondly, contests, the reason why a lot of the more recent ones were bad was because it was mostly just ran by MamaMonkey, and she didn't even work on the Rythum and Rooms contest test because as she told me, she left the creative team and moved over to social media because she was working 50-60 hours per week, and she asked for more people to be added to the creative team but Rec Room declined it and so, she left, and they rushed someone else who never made a contest to make Rythum and Rooms and that's why it was so bad, and now Clarity left or was fired (remember this for later) from Rec Room and now Trunks has to do a lot of work. Third, Rec Room can't even communicate with there own staff, as ive been told, Rec Room doesn't really doesn't actually tell there staff on whats going on, why something happened, or just completely lies to them about stuff, a story I was told a few days ago was that Rec Room has many times stated that a person had quit the company on good terms, but that staff member later found out, and that the person was actually fired and had beef with the company, and that why I'm unclear if Clarity was fires from Rec Room or just quit, because he was the most hated person on the creative side for his laziness and incompetence to do his job as many people have stated who do classes and workshops, and no one I know has a clear answer on what happened. And lastly, it's early the devs fault, but instead the higher ups fault, because from what I've seen and what I've been told, the devs are just told what to do, and there just supposed to do it, and they can't make a decision and say if it's a good idea or not, they just have to make it, so don't really blame the devs to much, they don't make decisions, the higher ups do.

When they removed the weekly skins I stopped caring. The amount of caution skins they gived was so dumb. They never fixed the lag, the exploits, the currency, rewards. They have been focusing on cosmetic items and full body avatar 😬.

I absolutely agree. I recently stopped making maps in Rec Room because of their decisions. You should definetly go through with that new channel idea imo

Another thing to rant from me, rec room is too rushy about their updates almost every week, and one caused a bug error with the glowstick grab killing multiple horror games, and the update caused an error where I cannot see my own announcements anymore, please contact rec room about this ruth or get hairy to help.

There is a game that "used" to be a Single player game, but now it's so far not released yet because of a big update. The game is gonna be named "A_Night_with_David" The reason I know about this is because about a year ago, I got mod. When the update is released July 30th 2024 it will be a 3 player room.

I highly agree with you, ive been creating things on rec room for a long time, ive had so many problems with the glitches they would have, sometimes while im creating something i would always be kicked out to my dorm room. And dont get me started on the moderation.. i get voicebanned mostly everyday because of what my little brother does and it goes to my account and its upsetting that you cant appeal a voiceban which rec room needs to fix.. ive had this problem multiple times and happens way to often, and ever since rec room plus existed its been too expensive and not even my richest friends on rec room can afford it i hope rec room can do better and fix there moderation,

I’m going to rant about what they need for change. Most importantly (besides listening to the community) make more events. Invasion events were a favorite of mine from the start but now they can’t bother. secondly we need more updates on old rros. Rec royal especially. Next they need to bring back the community’s favorites. Weekly’s every week or maybe more art contests. one of the more important ones is pricing. Make everything cheaper and give more tokens for boxes. Maybe every box there’s two items and then a token choice that gives like 250 tokens and sometimes 500.

As someone who has been playing ever since 2020, I agree. Rec room has honestly been dying. It first started with the lack of quests, but then there’s even more that rec room is lacking. The lack of bug fixes, events, and more. And of course, the lack of how rec room kept forgetting about their most important things that made and built rec room entirely. The forbidden one, showdown, heck even the rec center probably. More importantly It just makes me and the rest of the rec room community frustrated because the more updates and new RRO’s that rec room makes, the more rec room walks away and forgets about the things that would happen when they do exactly that. In my opinion, I just think that rec room keeps making new different things all at once is their way of neglecting the more important matters of their own game and community. It just gives me the question “Do the rec room devs/company actually play their own game?” And of course, this could go anyway someone would like but other than that. I agree, I honestly think that rec room devs are destroying their own game in a way of neglecting the more important matters. Example: “When will there be a new quest?” *years later, forgotten*

ive been playing for a whole 8 years, recroom has gone down hill, recroom was unique and had playing styles not much vr games had, you could hang out with friends and have a lot of fun, now-a-days you have hackers, racist people, stuff added/and or changed that people didnt ask for, adding emojis to text chat which some people asked for but not many and now they have customisation on your watch. the recroom i use to play to me is now gone.

little rant for a second. I started playing rec room on my birthday, april 6th, 2020, up until 2021, when i eventually went on a mental health break, i came back about a month ago and im not liking rec room as i used to, token prices have been WAY higher, no new quests, cresendo still not on quest 2, and more bugs, rec room is a good game, dont get me wrong. but rec room has been too money hungry and buggy, and the real kick to the balls was the weeklys being removed, the weeklys were my ONLY source of entertainment when i used to play, and now its gone beacuse "only 0.2% of players actually do the weekly", thats some MAJOR bull.. this game was the best VR game but everyone might aswell play VRchat at this point, so if your reading this Rec Room, fix your god forsaken game and let new players have chances to get cosmetics instead of having them manually buy tokens so they dont think this game is a pay-to-play game only for the rich.
