@Vik Matvejeva I started growing my hair back out a few months ago by continuing to buzz the sides and letting the top get longer. It's worked well so far! I have straight, thick hair and it's just begun to lay flat on my head. I recommend mousse for texture if u want it, and to keep the sides short until the top catches up. I don't regret it at all :)

You are a stunning woman with a stunning heart.. I am 49 years old and I just recently buzzed my hair for various reasons. One of them is because I am recovering from years and years of sexual abuse from an extremely young age and traumas and all that it entails.. Shaving my head is a huge part of my healing process.. You are never "too young" or "too old" for a fresh "New Beginning." Keep on shining sister.. 💖

I buzzed my hair a month and a half ago because I was tired of my hair being always damaged, even though I've never bleached it or dyed it, and even though I never use heat on it. I was convinced I was going to hate the buzzed look, but I actually LOVE it. I feel confident and free with short hair, but whenever I get a bad comment about it, I get so sad. With any other kind of bad comments about my body or myself, I normally shrug them off, but for some reason, comments about my buzzed head really get to me. Right now it's in between a buzzed head and a very short pixie. Idk if I'm going to grow it out or just keep it short. But I just wanted to thank you because if I do grow it out, I have found the perfect video to give me hope.
@catjanet61212 жыл бұрын
Well first, people should keep their negative comments to themselves. Second, I realized that the reason I became bothered whenever someone made comments about my buzzed hair was because it made me question my feminity. It takes a lot of self confidence to rock a buzz looked and feel good in it, which you do, so be proud. :) I still face some challenges with my hair even after growing it out, which I'll talk about in another video soon, but the experience of having a buzz head is like no other, so I don't regret it and I'm happy you don't either. ❤

YOu have such a beautiful hair! SO healthy and shiny. I shaved my head a month ago. I think every woman should do this. We think hair makes us feminine, this is what we are told. But the beauty and being feminine is inside of us. Shaving my head made me realise that. I really love how you looked like in June-July 2019. This hair length was awesome! I can't wait to have hair long like this. Thank you for your video. All the best.

Girl - I'm growing mine out right now too. It hits a little different. The hair I'd relied on all my life as a covering or fashion statement was gone. And I realized - I was never my hair. I was forced to love my face and forced to accept myself for just me. And let me tell you, long hair or short hair, guys still showed their attraction. I mean at this point, the hair I did have, other chicks could just buy at the store. I was constantly getting asked if my hair was real... constantly. Now... nothing. People just see me for me... and now that I've matured and have learned a few new things, just because, I'd like to try having some curls haha.

wow this video really resonated with me, i had terrible self esteem and still do but less bad. I decided to get a cut by someone who specialized in mens hair (im a girl) i wanted a pixie but i kept getting confused for a boy and it bothered me. i panicked when i saw myself in pictures and for a whole year i hid behind my hair and just suffered while it grew out. i hated it and wanted my hair back. my hair is a part of my culture and identity and i felt like i didnt feel pretty. Now my hair is past shoulder length anf im growing out botched bangs. ive been through the hair phase before and now i panick less and tell myself its okay and nothing stays the same. Nothing is for ever and you can only get better, change also takes time but its worth it. i believe in you guys.

Many of your comments resonated with me, as I buzz cut my hair and, as it grows out in it's somewhat awkward phases I just do not feel that great about it. I cut my hair in a pixie almost 7 months ago, and I hated it. At first I was afraid of the awkward stage of hair growth, but I was so determined to getting rid of that pixie that those thoughts didn't last long. Now I'm already past the awkward phase and my hair is starting to look "normal". Do I regret going through all those months of awkward hair? Of course not. I loved it, and I've learnt so much about self-esteem and body image because of it. I hope that everyone who's growing their hair out never gives up and reaches their goal.

I definitely felt the part about a buzzcut challenging your femininity. That's what I'm currently going through. I had to buzz my hair off because it was so damaged from months of bleaching it. I came from waist length gorgeous silky black locks to a buzzcut because I bleached it to hell. I associated my hair with beauty. I was so proud of my beautiful hair and I completely mistreated it. So I buzzed it off. While initially loving it and thinking I looked badass, now in the middle of growing it out, I feel so weird. I feel more self conscious and I don't feel feminine at all, especially when I'm not wearing makeup. I don't 100% regret buzzing my hair off because it was just a necessity for the wellbeing of my hair but I would never do it again and if I could turn back time, I would never have started bleaching it in the first place. Took me eight god damn years to grow it to that length ffs 😥
