Hey Christina, aren’t you just a ray of sunshine. Who angered the beast this morning?! Anyways let me clear a few things up for you.. 1. I can’t clarify this enough for those of you who just can’t wrap your head around this - THIS IS MY JOB. I will never force my children to be filmed on camera cleaning up, there are child labor laws for a reason. 2. If I had them clean and not film it, well then there wouldn’t be content for you as a viewer to watch. 3. Just a friendly reminder just because you saw a half of a day (out of 7 days of the week) DOES NOT mean I do not make my kids clean up after theirselves or that they do not have age appropriate chores. 4. Oh and to add my dog gets lots of attention and even with all the attention I give her she will still follow me everywhere, because I’m her person. As we have aged(mom is 92…my siblings and I are in late 60-70s)…we cook and eat chicken/dressing and all the sides for Thanksgiving. For Christmas, now that our kids and grands are scattered all over the south, and many here have to work if we have gathering during week, we fix dips, chips, Marie Calendar pies, I fixed big potato salad, sliders, and KFC!!! We graze all day or whenever they can make it to Mom’s. Mom has dementia and is immobile, but she had a great time. We’d rather visit than work in kitchen all day. This all works for us! Love your videos here in Mississippi! Happy 2023.

Hey! I was active duty for 14 years and a single mom of two (at the time). I am a civilian (married to a veteran) as of 2016 and have been throughly enjoying spending time with my kids and going to school since getting out. The transition was difficult but eventually I got into the swing of things. Love the cleaning videos and the motivation you give!

Hi Becka I watch you and Ashley both. You can tell everyone had a good time by the mess. Glad you had family in town. We get together with our kids spouses etc on Christmas Eve and we serve prime rib, some kind of potato and a winterberry salad with homemade poppy seed dressing and Christmas cookies and then we open gifts. Wonderful time of year. Thank you for being an inspiration.

Hey Becka, in South Africa we are in mid-Summer, but fortunately we had a cooler day on Christmas day. My mom cooked a small ham (it was just three of us), as well as a pork belly in the air fryer. The sides we had with that was roast potatoes, broccoli salad and three bean salad. And then for dessert a traditional English trifle and a banana/caramel fridge tart which is a recipe of my late Gran. Thank you for the very real cleaning video. The dishes are the pits, especially with a big cook and it felt like all I did the whole Christmas weekend was prep, cook and wash dishes (obviously like your video shows, not everything can go in the dishwasher). Brilliant cleaning motivation, and full of encouragement to get started putting everything back to normal. My kitchen always looks like a bomb has gone off 😂 preparing and cooking Christmas dinner. The menu in my house is roast beef, roast pork, leg of lamb, 3 bird roast and roast turkey crown that's for the meat eaters, for the vegans it's sweet potato and red cabbage log and mushroom wellington. For veg it's roast potatoes, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, spinach, carrots and last but not least stuffing and yorkshire pudding. It's hard work, but worth it. Glad you had a lovely Christmas, have a wonderful week and a happy and healthy New Year 💞

Hi, coming from Ashley’s channel! My husband has been retired for almost 9 years from Active Duty. Loved our time in , but was glad to see it come to an end so we could be in one spot to homestead. Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Really needed the motivation to get going!! We are from South Africa…really hot this time of year. Spend the day with family and had a lovely meal consisting of leg of lamb, roasted potatoes and butternut served with yellow rice and gravy as well as some beer bread. Dessert was a selection of jelly and ice cream, hazelnut & honeycomb chocolate log, peppermint tart and sticky toffee pudding. Have a wonderful and blessed day 🌸🌸

Dinner in my my house is Turkey with all the trimmings as i say. Have roast potatoes, sausages, pigs in blankets. We had what is traditional in the UK Turkey, home made sausage meat sage & onion stuffing, mash and roast potatoes with a ton of veg, took me most of the day to prepare as all the family come to ours for Christmas dinner, was a fabulous day spent with family just the best, sounds like you had a great one too Becka x

We had .... turkey, ham rice and gravy, green bean casserole, baked macaroni and cheese, fresh broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots with a cheese sauce, sweet potato casserole with pecan topping, fruit salad, cranberry sauce , and rolls! We had ribeye steaks, garlic mashed red potatoes and sautéed asparagus and Brussel sprouts w/garlic and olive oil. I had made 3 kinds of cookies & chocolate peanut butter fudge for dessert a day before. Christmas Eve I served a pork roast & homemade gravy, baked Mac and cheese, sautéed green beans and applesauce. I’m ready to get Christmas decor put away & get some cleaning done for the New Year. Wishing you and your family a blessed and happy 2023. 🎉🥂🍾

I'm irish so we usually have Turkey, ham but I cook the ham but in the last 10 mins I take it out and we put honey glaze on top then put it back in the oven for the last 10 mins (the ham I buy comes in a cook in bag for the oven), then we have Brussels sprouts, carrots, turnips and a side with carrots and turnips mashed together, cauliflower, brocoli, mushy peas, mash potatoes (with plenty butter in it), roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy to top it off. Desert is usually, warm mince pies with custard and cream, banoffee pie and pavlova 😁

Needless to say, Christmas was cancelled at our house. At this point, I am just looking forward to New Years!! We had chicken noodle soup for Christmas day. My husband got the same thing I had. Here in the UK Christmas dinner is mainly roast turkey but I do cook a smoked gammon joint (ham) roast potatoes, carrots, Brussels sprouts, honey roasted pasnips , stuffing and pigs in blanket (small sausages wrapped in bacon) with cranberry sauce and gravy,

Hey i come from African Kenya......i love cooking so much and for Christmas i made Pilau (it's a famous rice dish here in Kenya ), beef stew , Nyama choma wich is basically grilled meat ,Roasted potatoes and lastly one of my fave Chapati which is made with wheat flour,sugar ,salt and cooking oil. That is what i made my family for Christmas they enjoyed it as much as i enjoyed cooking for them ............i just discovered your channel and you have a new fun in Kenya 😊

My Poppa smoked a turkey, I made the dressing, hubby made mashed potatoes & mac-n-cheese, Momma made bread bowls w/rolls, my Uncle made Asado, brisket, cousin made beans, macaroni salad, salad and I can't remember what else. There was TONS of food

Main courses ... On Christmas Eve we had some stuffed turkey with sweet potato croquettes and pear/cranberry compote and on Christmas day it was venison with accidentally the same side dishes, but slightly different recipes (I did the croquettes myself with spices) 😂 one day with my family and one day with my in-laws. Appetizers, entrées and yule log were completely different

hey there thats funny you mention the baseboards that was my goal today actually but not happenin body needs rest lol but i noticed them since we had to pull the table out cause jess was here we played games & actually used it lol but they are on my list the moment i get some ambition :) jess did help me dust tho so i was grateful for that we had the best weekend ever which is why im exhausted today lol she just went back earlier today im glad you had a great weekend too thats a COOL chest! wesley's father builds with wood too he made us a clock in the shape of maine (where we're from i cant remember if i told you or not before but i think so) it is super cool and actually WORKS! he also made us ornaments one year in shapes of lobsters lighthouse and the state shape i know it took some time to make those maybe the same thing but still cool when someone makes you something thanks for the idea to clean my oven mitts w/ a lysol wipe i spilled ham juice all over mine and thought i had to wash them this way's better :) i made ham too w/ au gratin potatos green beans crescent rolls & wesley made a cheesecake it was yummy even if the ham juice set off the fire alarm lol thankfully nothing burned just alot of smoke i hit that wall every day way before you did lol the wall always wins :) you should be proud you did alot that day! great job!

Yum cheesecake is one of my favorites! So good! Yes sometimes you just have to listen to your body. Take rest when it’s needed. I actually started the baseboards yesterday. Did two and a half rooms and was done for the day with that task at least 😅 I hate doing the baseboards! Glad you had a good holiday friend! And yes you told me you’re from Maine 🥰 That’s so cool he was able to make that stuff! And now you got me craving a good lobster roll 😂

I am from Brazil and our Christmas it’s crazy - We have porc, we have chiken rooll stuffed with bacon, vegetables, lasagna And we also we have meat - rice and beans (special one) and a lot of deserts after dinner - our tradition it’s Christmas eve dinner and we also have a big table full of fruits - it’s crazy but it’s so yummy 😅 on Christmas Day we eat all the leftovers
