As the AE plugin Helium has been updated to V5, it is now possible to render Vdb volume files.
VDB is a 3D-based volume file such as smoke, fire, clouds, etc.
Let's see how to render Vdb in 'After Effects' through Helium plugin.

선생님 이 플러그인으로 구름을 만든 다음에 element 3d 같은 걸로 영상에 트래킹 후 컴포지트를 할 수 있을까요? 아니면 이미 불러와진거니 바로 트래킹만 걸면 합성이 되는걸까요? 늘 좋은 영상 감사합니다 ㅠㅠ

안녕하세요~! Helium으로 만들어진 VDB(구름)은 3D공간과 연동이 되기 때문에 엘리먼트3D로 씬을 만든 다음 배치 하거나 컴퍼지팅 할 수 있습니다. 영상도 트래킹을 하면 3D공간이 되기 때문에 같은 방법으로 합성을 할 수 있습니다 그리고 저 플러그인은 구름을 만들어주는 것보단 VDB를 렌더링 해주는 용도이므로 VDB 파일이 없는 경우 자체적으로 구름을 생성할 수는 없습니다 그래서 사전에 VDB로 된 구름 파일을 가지고 있어야 합니다.

계속 문의 드려 죄송합니다. ㅠ 지금 구매해서 테스트를 하는 중인데 선생님의 영상과 동일하게 토네이도 vdb 무료 다운로드해서 시도해봤는데 import 를 하면 null, vdb 레이어는 생성이 되는데 화면에는 아무런 표시가 나오질 않고 있습니다. 그냥 빈화면이에요.. ㅜ 혹시 따로 세팅을 해야 하는 거나 지원이 안되는 하드웨어가 있는걸까요?

From the vdb readonly density? Or is possible to read some temperature channel / custom channel for coloring ? Thanks for the video 🙏

Hello, only Density and Emission are adjustable. And there are also options to adjust the color. As far as I know, there doesn't seem to be a function that allows you to load a custom channel separately.

The problem of no shadows may be due to the light's z-position. Try adjusting the z-position.

hello. This plugin is installed automatically just by running the installation file. (No manual installation process required) You can download the Vdb file by visiting the linked site and importing it in the same way as in the tutorial.

안녕하세요 답변이 늦었네요 ㅠ . 윈도를 사용 중 이라면 프로젝트 설정에서 GPU를 활성화해보시기 바랍니다. Mac을 사용 중이라면 플러그인을 최신 버전으로 업데이트해보시기 바랍니다. AMD GPU를 사용하는 Mac Intel에서 불륨 렌더링이 실패하는 문제를 수정했다고 합니다.

@@user-zs8fg8pq8e 이러한 경우 VDB파일이 문제일 수 있습니다. 혹시 링크(jangafx.com/software/embergen/download/free-vdb-animations/) 의 VDB파일을 사용해도 같은 문제가 발생 하는지 테스트 해보시기 바랍니다. 링크의 VDB를 사용했을 때 문제가 발생하지 않는다면 사용 하고자 하는 VDB의 크기나 축이 옳바르지 않아 생기는 문제 일 수 있습니다. 혹은 링크의 파일을 사용했는데도 VDB파일이 렌더링 되지 않는다면 그래팍카드 드라이버를 최신으로 업데이트 해보시기 바랍니다.
