This was the best tutorial ... I couldn't find the free Video Pilot reflect, so it made the whole process very hard and confusing doing it the AF way. Brilliant job though, I have still yet to get to the end. Hopefully I have enough days left on the planet to finally get AF to work for me.

Hola!! Excelente video, solo que yo tengo un problema, al momento de poner una imagen encima de otra en la linea de tiempo para que lo sustituya y obtenga el mismo efecto de reflejo no me permite realizar el movimiento, que es lo que puedo hacer para que este funcione de esa manera.

Gracias amigo! Estoy en el proceso de traducir mis videos mas populares al Español. Cada vez que subo un video, me gustaria lanzar en los dos idiomas pero no siempre tengo el tiempo. Puedo intentar con subtiular, conoces de un software que me ayudaria?

Thanks a lot dude! But how do you do a shortcut replace on each of those composition? Cause if I drag down another composition and try to overlap the previous one, it would just add the composition and if I delete the prev. one, the added composition would just turn to a normal layer, or comp.

To swap compositions or layers, select the layer you want to replace on the timeline. Then hold/press down on ALT key, and drag the comp or layer from project bin and replace it with selected layer in timeline.

Gracias Pedro! Si claro, se puede añadir mas fotos, solamente tendras que ajustar los keyframes de la posicion del objeto nulo que esta conectado a la camara.

Yes you can. It'll probably be an extremely long render time but it is possible.

Hit Ctrl K or Cmd K if on apple to open the composition settings. Change the width/height to 1080x1920. Just flip the numbers.

Okay I'm already lost. I double clicked on the "Rounded Rectangle Tool" at 2:05 and adjusted the edges to 100. then I dropped in a short video below that. I could see the video at the point but I followed you and clicked on the TrkMat and changed it to "Alpha Matte - Shape Layer 1" and it went black. Sorry for the nub question but I'm in need of your assistance.

Sorry for late response. Make sure the video layer is below the shape layer (rounded rectangle) also make sure that when you select TrkMat, your video layer is visible (eye icon is turned on) and the shape layer is not visible (eye icon is turned off)

Thank you! Yes, you can add as much text you want. Easiest way is to add text in the slide precomps or you can also add the text in the main comp, but you would have to place them in 3D space.

Hey CM, if I'm doing this with videos, do I need to edit the sound first? Or is there a way to make one video's sound play and the others not? Or alternate whenever one becomes the main focus? Thanks for the help!

Definitely having it planned out helps tremendously. I would probably do the sound editing in premiere or editing software. If you want to do it all in AE, the best way would be to go into each slide's precomp and mute the audio from the video layer. Make a copy of the video, hide the video but have the sound on. Trim the layers in and out point to just the section where you want the audio to be heard. Basically, you have 2 exact layers. The video with audio turned off to just see the video, and another layer (copy) but video is turned off, but the audio is on and trimmed to just the section you want.

Instead of having an image in the comp, use video file. line up the video in your comp. for example if in your main slideshow comp, the video shows up at 10 seconds in, make sure that in your video comp, the video file is playing back at the 10 second mark.

ok. but how to make the video before it, was on a pause. so that we can see it as a picture while the camera is fliying?

simple. In your video comp, split the layer into 3. Shortcut on PC is Ctrl + Shift + D or go to Edit -> Split Layer. Make 3 layers. The first layer, freeze it. Layer -> Time -> Freeze Frame. Where your cursor/timeline indicator is currently at, that's where it will freeze. I would freeze on the frame just before video starts. Your 2nd or middle layer is the video playing and your 3rd layer would be a freeze of the last frame of the video. Hope this makes sense.

tony roberts most of the times I'll render out as mp4 with Adobe Encoder. Sometimes I'll render as quicktime animation codec or avi with cineform gopro codec.
