Just for clarification - The crash test ratings which shows 0 stars in adult occupant and 4 stars in child occupant will be applicable of models manufactured from mid of 2023 till December 2023 and the other rating which shows 3 star in adult occupant is after some changes in carens which will be applicable for models after Jan 2024

Couldnot understand after retest means.Retest is done when you are not sure about the outcome of test or test procedures not effectively implemented. If it is retest then there is question mark on GNCAP that previously crash tested cars might be deffered or might have deviations also .

Kindly dont mislead the facts. Regarding improvements it is clearly mentioned in the first screen itself. Zero star is secured by Carens manufactured until 2/5/23. There after the company tried to improve its safety. Three star is secured by Carens manufactured in December 2023. In simple terms two different quality product was available in the same market during the same year. As a disclaimer companies will mention this as " Design and specifications are subject to change without prior notice". Usually showrooms will not tell us about this even if they know this. Here GNCAP is bringing it into our notice. They are doing this for our safety. Because the highest road accident death is happening in countries like India. Definitely these kind of programs will enforce the companies to improve their quality. 😊

Avergae buyer does't give this result a shit. They check if interiors well put together, slam the door for thud sound and check that as SAFE. Even if it is 2 star in crash test, for them it is safer than 5 star rated average interior car that does not produce good thud sound.

Driver neck took high impact so was rated 0 star. Kia has quickly reacted and beefed the restrain systems and they have sent new car which has got 3 stars. Car was not tested for side pole test as there was not much improvement in the newly built cars after 2023 end 😮. Now new cars built after 2023 end is 3 star and before that will get 0 star.

How come zero to 3 star . Any magic happened or what !!! . I see the same video, exact same events in crash test , its just a slow-motion video instead (Stepney tyre falling out ,correct me if I'm wrong). Highlight the improvements . Mahindra will also get some help 🤣. Improvement - Show the same crash test in slow-motion.

It never happened with Nexon. Tata is the only car manufacturer in India to have in-house crash test facility since their first car. Their all platforms are structurally safe. GNACAP are non profit third party organisation. They tests car until 4 star rating with their own fund for cars pickedup from market without manufacturer's knowledge. If that result produce strong enough result, they ask manufacturer if they are going to sponser additional costly tests needed for that extra star. If manufacturer don't, the result is published as 4 stars with strong safety. Tata said ok for going ahead and that resulted India's first 5 star rated car. The only change they did was incorporating passenger seatbelt reminder as that was pre-requisite for 5 stars.

@@HonestSatish The first Nexon didn't have Isofix mounts for rear seat as far as i remm and thatis why Gncap cut 1 star, tata installed isofix seats and sent the car again.

@@aashishdevgun Isofix child mount, ABS, dual airbag, parking sensor was offered by Nexon from day one on every variant. The manual is available online if you have doubts.
