Great review, Shawn, thank you. One difference I notice between Lordship Salvation and Free Grace theologies today, is how the sin of homosexuality is treated in regards to salvation. I've heard Lordship Salvation adherents actually say that those practicing homosexuality cannot be saved. They have to forsake it as part of believing the gospel. Scripture however makes clear that the only sin that cannot be forgiven is failing to believe in the promise and work of Christ for eternal life. In the Free Grace view, homosexuals CAN be saved (praise God!) but once saved, they will have the Holy Spirit within them calling them to a life of discipleship and obedience (as with us all). If they choose to continue in homosexuality, that is an issue for the Bema judgement of Christians and for heavenly reward, NOT an issue for salvation/final destiny. It hurts to hear theologians whom I otherwise admire putting this obstacle before people in this particular sin! All types of sinners should be welcomed in our churches and invited to believe the gospel; no one should be excluded. (Many sins may be barriers to church membership and to leadership positions, but not to church attendance and to loving welcome by the church family.)

💯 great review! I didn’t really want to watch it, but I’m glad I did. The strategy of a victim who can be used like a martyr is really interesting. That’s exactly what Jesus used (except he didn’t victimize anyone in response).
