It really doesn't make a lot of sense given Trent is more of a tag wrestler than O is. But I feel like maybe he already has Trent in his pocket and this is to lure Cassidy into a false sense of security.

Not that I'd want to see that...but, yeah, you're right. It definitely has possibilities! Kinda reminds me of when Hulk Hogan turned Heel, at Bash At The Beach, on July 7th, 1996....and, along with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, formed the nWo. That threesome revolutionized Wrestling! A lot of the Wrestlers, for instance, dropped all of the Flashy Wrestling Garb that they'd been wearing...and began dressing up in more sensible Wrestling Gear. Some even switched over to just wearing Blue Jeans, and darker colored, more sensible footwear. Even Sting eventually switched over to basic Black-And-White Wrestling Gear, right down to the Facepaint! From sometime in June 1996-April 1998, WCW got on top of the ratings war against the Then-WWF!

I love that Kris Statlander came out too - she’s always been apart of Best Friends even if lately she doesn’t accompany them to the ring or in interviews. I’m super interested to see where this dissolved Best Friends story goes…I’d be all for an extreme rules match between Beretta & Cassidy at a PLE.

Doesn't look like a dissolution of the Best Friends, Orange and Stats are still eye to eye and Hook is only resting, Rocky is staying out of the fight but is friends. Hell Stats, Willow and Stokes seem on the same page, the BFs seem to be ok just no Trent.

The more I think about it, having finally got to say shit on National TV, and having a bloody brawl with his best friend and tag partner for over a decade. That probably is the best send off for Chuck Taylor. I'm heartbroken because I've always been a fan, but if that's how he goes, then it's a good way to ride off into the sunset.
