I was watching the Today Show this morning (it's the only English-language program on air in Oaxaca, surprised it airs at all) and they did an entire segment where they interviewed a random former high school classmate of the shooter, the poor guy had no idea what was going on and they kept pestering him for personal info he just didn't have.

My question is what about the video of half the crowd yelling like 2 minutes prior that there’s a guy crawling across the roof.

The actual reason is that the Secret service and police do very little communication and most cops probably assume reports of a guy with a gun on a roof was some Secret service security. This is a massive idiotic security failing on the service and police.

This post is about the security failing. There's a clear pattern of escalation: protest, impeachment, indictment, removal from ballots, arrest, conviction, removal of security once in prison, and now this.

I dont know of any security failure during any impeachment either. Trump was correctly Indicted, and that also has nothing to do with the SS or police. Removal from ballots im not sure what you're referring to, Trump was and is on every ballot. There was no security failure during Trump's arrests. Trump was rightly convicted for crimes he actually committed, and this again, is unrelated to SS or the police. Trump was never going to have any removal of his security at all in prison, the law requires the SS to always protect him as a previous president, plus Trump has never been to prison yet. The one criminal trial he was found guilty on hasnt given him his sentence yet, and its unlikely to end in prison time. So unless im misunderstanding your point here, I really have no clue how any of this relates to the SS or police, or a failing of security.

It was also incompetent to leave trump exposed between the podium and the stairs, this part means that the Secret Service did not send their best. Its strange to think in this day and age that people still think security that amounts to a bunch of people around keeping watch is somehow a reliable way to make sure nothing goes wrong. Were there some screw ups? Conspiracy theories happen because people assume things about the world that aren't true without considering the reality. The issue is the level of incompetence required to allow this would not happen in the secret service. Keep in mind agents on the security details are the cream of the crop, basically all of them are military veterans with combat experience or advanced training, these weren’t cops who dropped the ball these people are experts

They had no problems with getting info on every J6 person, whether they were there on J6 or not. Heck, they charged people for not giving them access to their phones (passcodes etc) - but they got access anyway and downloaded all the contents. But when it isn't politically advantageous, I guess the will to get into people's phones fade fast.

Yeah, the secret service head has to resign right now and all statements made by personal need to be made public. There are credible allegations that they didn't do their jobs. Public servants can't just act like everything went fine here. We are owed transparency. If we don't get it then it's not unreasonable to assume less charitable explanations are possible. Just like with the JFK assassination, intelligence agencies are still witholding information. No wonder speculation runs wild.

The SS admit the roof the shooter was on was supposed to be protected by local police and local police say that wasn't their role and it wasn't discussed. It was a clear failure. Don't blame the fact it was an open air rally for clear and obvious failings - they knew he was on the roof with a gun 20 minutes before Trump took the stage and did nothing.
