Recently working with people who experienced early-life adversity, who have in many cases actually never learned self-care--the idea is that they have to learn 'self care as a second language.' Keep on keeping on!

I definitely enjoy the after work pampering ritual. I have a hard time doing this consistently for myself. Especially the tea and preparing dinner. I really love hot tea; its so comforting...but sometimes I so beat I just skip it. I don't know how you do it all, but hats off to you!

I need to incorporate some this during the week. I either exercise or veg. I like the concept of taking care of yourself daily.

I always watch Netflix in the bathtub! I'm inspired. I can't wait to go home and have a lovely night of self care!

I didn't do this before bed but just now because my husband and baby were out: morning long shower, exfoliate and moisturizing masks on face and relaxing.

I know this was sooo long ago, so maybe you've already done this. But! You say you detest going to the liquor store, I'm sure there are more upscale or homey wine stores that you can find. It makes all the difference when you enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. 🍷 🥂
