"Pako" started his military career in the Marine Corps as a door gunner in the CH-46 & CH-53. He ultimately crossed over into the Air Force as a Weapon System Officer (WSO) in the F-15E. I am very curious as to what techniques Rain uses during an agressive F16 demo. Flying F14 B in flight sim at Oshgosh and trying to figure out throttle application, speeds etc for doing a demo. Thanks as always Rain

When I was college age. It was 1000’s of applicants for a small number of pilot slots. The best of the best were selected Now sees like they are begging for pilots

Question: At 3:44 of this podcast as the F-15 backs off from the tanker, I notice that the jet does a barrel roll of sorts and is therefore, briefly inverted for a short period of time. I´m not a pilot, but I thought that fighter jets (at least certain ones) with fuel tanks on their pylons couldn´t actually fly inverted. Is there any truth to this? Thank you.

I think you may be confusing inverted flight with negative G. I’m not for sure but I think I heard that the f15 has a very low negative g capability. You can fly inverted but still keep a positive g on the airframe.
