Aftermarket Android Auto system installed using the original bosch screen.
Installed in 2013 Jaguar XF X250.
It was really a very easy job. You actually need only two sizes of screwdriver bits and prying tool :)

Good video! What did you hook your EL lights up to? I'm about to tackle this ambient lighting project soon on my XFR.

I've actually hooked them to the usb port in the armrest as I'm not using it. There is one thing that I have to mention - the driver for the EL lights is making a high pitch noise so I have actually put it inside a small box with plenty of insulation to mute it :)

Hej, przymierzam się do tego zestawu, ale mam kilka pytań: do czego służy ten mikrofon z zestawu? czy rozmowy tel. działają normalnie? idą przez system Jaga czy przez to nowe pudełko? Gdzie znalazłeś miejsce na tą skrzyneczkę? Pozdro! :)

Mikrofon w sumie jest wykorzystywany do asystenta google. Ja mam podłączone obydwa urządzenia po Bluetooth i rozmowy odbieram na zestawie oryginalnym jaguara. Generalnie od Ciebie zależy jak sobie to skonfigurujesz bo możesz w ogóle nie parować z jaguarowym BT ale wtedy nie beda dzialaly przyciski na kierownicy do odbierania polaczen. Pudełko jest pod osłoną nad nogami pasazera, niedaleko miejsca gdzie jest filtr kabinowy.

I did the El lighting last night but found it reflected in the wing mirrors and was quite distracting, do you have this issue too?

Whats your experience withvthe product after one year. I am planning to get one to a jag i just bought. Wireless android auto is my weapon of choice, so it would be nice to hear how everything works. Thank

I love it , works great, I strongly recommend getting an audio filter for the aux cable connector it will eliminate distortions that car is prone to. I'm using it every day , Waze is always on and it is the first thing I'm doing after getting into car - connecting my android auto...sometimes wired , sometimes wireless - depends on the state of charge of my phone battery ;)

Certainly looks interesting. Well done on the install. Is there any iPhone integration? I’m not yet an xf owner but fingers crossed will be in the next month or so. Are the dash lights a self install too? They look really good!

It works with both, android and iPhone. Yup the dash light is also self installed. Probably the easiest mod.

www.joyeauto.com/product/ronge-rover-evoque-wireless-apple-carplay-airplay-android-auto-interfacepre-sale/ You can buy it directly from manufacturer in China and they ship it with FedEx or DHL. I know it says for range rover Evoque but it's the same. As long as you have a face lift XF with the same menu as mine and NO DVD for Navi in the boot.
