You wear such pretty dresses and you always look so stylish! Really, you add to the ambiance of every afternoon tea you experience. We so enjoy the vicarious tea parties, even solo ones!

Hi Dallas! Just back from a beautiful holiday in the UK. We stayed at the Castle Hotel for part of our journey. While we enjoyed the hotel, we were not impressed with the afternoon tea. The service was lacklustre, the sandwiches were very blah and the patisserie was as such that we didn’t even bother to take any leftovers. My husband had to go hunt down the server for some basics as well. Very disappointing! Didn’t even ask if we wanted any other tea to try etc. we had purchased a gift voucher and they didn’t seem to be able to access by bar code on phone so we had to email them their gift voucher purchased on their site. It caused several disruptions to our tea as the manager kept saying” we didn’t get it yet”. Probably 3 times of that….would not recommend this afternoon tea.

I’m thrilled you had a lovely visit to the UK! That’s a shame The Castle Hotel was not very nice. when I was there I believe there was only one or two other teas being served- and as you said, the service was not the same as your London hotels. Ah well - it’s all an experience ✨ Thank you for letting me know about your tea, and I’ll see you next time in Wanderland ✨💕🐰🫖🇬🇧

I've unfortunately never had scones with clotted cream but if I did I would put the jam on first then the cream. IMO jam is a spread and cream is a topping. But in reality it doesn't matter, as long as I can stuff it in my gob it will be fine. And I haver recently come across a clotted cream substitute for those of us who are unable to get it. Made from 50/50 heavy cream and mascarpone whipped together.
