Why doesn’t people understand that the story from the silver eyes novels are not the same universe as the game universe their different universes and Scott even said that himself only parts of the silver eyes novels can be used like the names and the remnant thing but it isn’t proven in the game that William mistreated his kids and William clearly didn’t want Elizabeth to see circus baby and if William really didn’t care about Elizabeth then why would he just let Elizabeth see circus baby if he just wanted her dead this doesn’t make sense for William to mistreat Elizabeth if he cares for her because he literally didn’t want Elizabeth to see circus baby and the only books that is canon to the game lore is the frights books not the silver eyes novels. The silver eyes novels and the game are not the same universe get it right

I do see your point There isn’t a lot of evidence that William mistreated his children in the game but we do get some clues The books aren’t canon to the actual game - they are instead a representation The books show us that Elizabeth was hit and shoved by William whenever she got in his way of work My lore contains a mixture of the book lore and canon lore

Sorry for the rent but there is an difference between the game lore and the silver eyes novels lore they’re just not the same universe and people don’t understand that. In the silver eyes novels mrs Afton and Evan (crying child), Micheal Afton isn’t described in those the silver eyes novels only Elizabeth this Elizabeth isn’t the same as the Elizabeth in the game, yes the both of them wanted to see circus baby but the silver eyes novels circus baby was actually an Charlie animatronic and in the game circus baby is her own animatronic, the William in tse the books seems to be an narcissist and the William from the game is more neglecting but still want to keep his kids safe (not wanting Elizabeth to see circus baby and the security cameras in cc room) and the game William is an psychopath and the silver eyes novels William is more sociopath and sociopaths aren’t aware that they are hurting others but psychopaths do love their family but in an different way. Sorry for the long comment

I also think William didn’t care about the mental health of his children and that he only cared about his work or possibly immortality - William is pretty much a psychopath in the books and games

oh my god what a horrible thing, why did you do everything like that? this makes no sense, everyone in the mistreated elizabeth universe is fearful, weak and then you make them die like that, what a sick thing. did you really need to kill them? And why did you make them so weak and useless? they are also the afton family, they shouldn't be afraid like that. Also, their universe had no right to interfere in their lives, no matter if what they are doing is wrong, they simply intervened in their lives even though they didn't know anything, they are different universes, they can't just threaten them and make fun of them. Seriously, as much as the mistreated elizabeth universe was wrong, the more I watched the video, the more I rooted for them, the way they were treated is wrong and they didn't deserve to die. your universe acts as if it were superior, saying they're crybabies, immature and superior, but they're not, it's just one more among several.

First off, it’s Woolfie’s AU; she can do whatever she wants with it. Second, Woolfie!William and his wife may not be abusers; they love their children, but they are still _unrepentant murderers._ They’re not going to care one way or the other about whether it’s right to interfere in another universe’s affairs, especially not when the Mistreatment!Aftons didn’t care either. Also, they’re not going to just stand there and take it when some self-absorbed shorter versions of them start yelling in their faces about how they should live their (after)lives.
