Sounds like you have the right tires for each tractor. The agg tires on my driveway were brutal compared to the r14

If you have mud they are the way to go but if you need to keep a yard in decent shape you have no chance with those ag tires.

I haven’t used r4s but I love my r14s. I ride on pavement roads and work in the woods. It handles great on either surface. The Agg tires I had were terrible on the pavement and really dug deep in my yard.

@@FirewoodontheHill Someone commented on one of the blogs that R14 are more prone to puncturing in the woods and over rocks than the R4.

Idk know about that but I’ve put mine to the test and they are holding up. Ask the dealer what each tires ply is.

Yeah I was expecting them to be wider. I though about running different tires on the front and back but the agg tires just tear up the ground more than I wanted them too.

Yes I think the r14 is the hybrid of ag and turf tires.

The tires are filled which I’m glad I did and I’m looking into a ballast box or a weighted system. Not sure what I want yet. What do use for weight at the rear?

They are pretty low. Like 18 psi I think.

@@FirewoodontheHill you may can go even lower than that. You might think that that may be too low. But you’d be surprised at how low of pressure you can run in tractor tires. When you get a chance,…drive it on concrete and see how much of the tire is in contact with the ground. Just look at the “dirt” that you see across the tread of the tire. I usually lower mine to the point that there is all but about 2” of “dirt” on the tread. You’ll get pretty even wear like that. That’s just been my experience with tractor tires.

Wow that’s crazy. Ags definitely have better grip but you must’ve been In some deep stuff to get stuck

@@FirewoodontheHill Nope Simple snow on the road couldn’t make it up to the house, fluid in the tires and wheel weights, stuck in the fields trying to tag cattle, behaved just like Dan’s tractor in his last video, had to put chains on the front in anything slick👍🏼🇺🇸

Ag tires are the best for traction. Getting stuck sucks
