holy feck that was INTENSE. i think i held my breath the whole time. not sure how i've missed this. that barrel at around 4:07 is just crazy and the spit! then that amazing carve from another wave right after it. john's videos aren't just surf film, they are high art. so good to have these to have something exciting to watch, when the CT is such a drag. hope he keeps going back into his stash and finding more and more old stuff to post.

OUTSTANDING, but can you land an air while bodysurfing a lunch tray, kickboard, or handplane and carry enough speed to get a solid 5 second barrel at Kalihiwai? There really aren't enough advanced body surfers building on the legacies of Cunningham, Stewart, and the Kauai Bodysurfing Club. Maybe you can demonstrate that breaking surface tension and achieving lift-off velocity can be done with 18 inches of planing waterline using a tray or wood kickboard. You'll need some Vipers, not Da Fin. If u know of anyone with footage of arial bodysurfing, please let me know.
