Question: do you like custom AoE games or playing with other opponents more or campaign mode? Me: I personally prefer campaign mode because I enjoy the challenge while also having a story being told. I understand playing with other people though because to be honest, the computer is not really smart at counter strategy.

In all honesty if i have to choose between the too, then it would of course be campaign, cause I'm still going trough many other RTS games their campaign since i enjoy doing them, with the same reason you just informed. But multiplayer can be fun to with friends, as the AI indeed isn't the brightest.
