Round 3, i think that the move with the flayers after the gorewarden spell is not possible because they have to be wholly in 9" of each other after set up. i could be wrong, but for me it looked like more than 9" 🫣 Nice battlereport like always, love to see more FEC soon👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

This is correct! I had them in position and then decided to put the gorewarden on the other side of the objective for some reason. Always hard to wrestle the new rules when we get a new tome! Thanks for watching and commenting :)

I really LOVE when you try fyreslayers but i check some fails (just for help, no toxic): Blaze of fury's heroic action cannot be used in the same hero twice in the same battle. Flamekeeper doesn't have shoot axe.

2x9 crypt horrors may be one of the best hammer/anvil combo in the game right now. They do OBSCENE damage when they charge in Hollowmourne subfaction 😀

Loved this BR. You guys should try to bring the audio setup from this studio to ragebaby if possible when you guys record there it sounds so much clearer at Battleshock.

I'm glad you guys talked about how the fyreslayer was rolling like an absolute god! It was disgusting to watch. It was the only thing keeping it even remotely close. Couple book keeping notes... The infernal courtier wounds on 4's for the fetid breathe... also the battle tactic to take an objective is serfs, knights, and COURTIER... not Abhorrent. Otherwise great battle report. Keep up the good work!

I may have mis-spoke and stated abhorrent, but there was also a Crypt Infernal Courtier standing on the objective as well :). As stated by these other folks, the infernal does wound on 3s 😀

those are objective markers. In sigmar its a 12 inch circle

That T2 FEC, always value killing the hero before the unit to remove their 4++ ward. The morbegs lift the Berzerker and then the Horrors should lift the unit, well between them and the Vargulf, if they hadn't had a ward, the unit was gone even with your horrible rolls.

Taking the barricade and dropping the flyers for 3 more morbegh knights could be good. Also ushoran with a bunch of knights is looking spicy

Lifting a double reinfored units of horrors in one go is pretty tough for any army. -1 to hit will absolutely obliterate any damage that this army does and spell sniping heros will also realy hurt FEC. They may be the new kings of attrition warfare though. One match vs. one list doesn't exactly showcase how they hold up vs. the rest of the field.

Great comment! We agree they have counters, but just had to really point out how laughable these crypt horrors look to be. We are excited to see how the do in the fish bowl. My guess is mid tier, because Kroak and any debuff/ armored army will be having them put on clown make up lol

Nice BR! But you seems too scared about those new FeC. 😅 I don't think they will perform well against Stormcast, SBGL, STD, Khorne or anything with 3+ save.

I do agree that armor saves will slow them down, but a charging crypt horror unit will still do an average of 12 damage to a 2+ save, 24 damage to a 3+ save, and 33 damage to a 4+ save. Pretty spicy. I think the worst thing for them is -1 to hit, which is pretty prevalent. We will see how things shake out!

gonna have to give this one to FEC, mostly because before the new book they were arguably Fyreslayers worst matchup( 89% winrate in favor of the courts according to woehammer) and FEC only got better with the new book

They are a very good bruiser army with a TON of output. Excited to see how the balance update and imminent rules changes shake them out. I'd like to see them hang for a few months after their maintome releases. I don't want to see a 3 nerf adjust prior to this like they did to S2D

@@BattleshockWargaming I dont think they need any major nerf before release, but there are some weird areas that need FAQing like Ushoran being able to take the same delusion that you picked at the start and if the named characters can be priests in Blisterskin since it doesnt only give it to abhorrents with the subfaction keyword

The one rule that is damn good is bring back a half strength unit, muster it to full strength and the move it d6 with the abhorrent spell. 3 inch charge with plus 1 damage is a very good counterstrike measure. People will learn to play around it though, and some armies (seraphon) will dispatch heroes pretty quickly. It has counters, so you may be right

There is a heroic action that allows you to roll 1 dice for each FEC unit that is wholly within 12". For each 5+ you receive 1 NDP. So he was able to do that 2x in battle round 1 and he got an extra 1 for chanting a prayer. Hope that helps. Thanks a lot for watching our channel! :)

Why waste rune when you don't have to...sure throw axe one isn't super good but imagine turn your only viable battle tactic is kill somebody with throw axe :) If you don't need any rune just don't activate any. It's can. Not must
