Great content as always Doug! The more we find out about the flaws of the stormcasts the sooner I think we'll see one turn to chaos. Khorne's respect for combat prowess, papa Nurgle's love, Tzeench's whispers of grandeur, all could be appealing to someone who's had one too many times on the anvil.

The more I listen and look at this game, the more I realize that Games Workshop truly has created a one-of-a-kind new fantasy franchise!! Yet again, opening myself to this new lore. Plus will need to get the books after the first 2 relmgate books.

This chamber really grabbed my interest. Also super excited for Extremis.

I remember seeing the reveal trailer for these guys. Sigmar’s advisor says he can’t just open another chamber and he retorts, “The hell I can’t!” and opens it anyway. More seriously, the opening of the Sacrosanct Chamber into the battle proper gave me tons of ideas on how they and Death armies could interact. They could be fighting over secrets of immortality in Shadespre. Meanwhile, the Nighthaunt could bolster their forces by using the wayward souls of the proto-Stormcasts... Random addition: I fell in love with the Castigator-Prime in the Soul Wars box. She’s got so much personality in that pose.

i finished the realmgate wars black library book series and Lord of Undeath was AWESOME! By far the best part was when the skeleton riding a skeletal steed came up to Makvar the Lord-Celestant, gave him a message from Nagash and then disintegrated. and the book says "By its disintegration, the undead rider impressed another message upon Makvar. It was that whatever served Nagash existed only because it had a purpose useful to him. once it became superfluous, its existence could be snuffed out in a few heart beats." Intense right?

What does a soul look like prior to reforging? They a glowing mote of energy, lightening trapped in a bottle, a human ghost sitting in a waiting line next to Beatlejuice? Do they describe that?

this actually makes me want to play these guys. ahhh, why are so many AOS armies so cool!

I'm really excited, the soul wars sound awesome, I'm really hoping that when the other forces of chaos and destruction will be fighting the other forces of death, the nighthaunt vs the stormcast, flesheater courts vs moonclan greenskins, the war mothers chaos undivided warband vs the vampire counts, maybe even seeing some deathrattle turn against nagash or even see some slight return of the tombkings that are willing to help sigmar overthrow nagash, idk but I really hope the other factions get some much needed attention during the soul wars

lol love the idea of a Lord Arcanum chucking souls back into dying stormcast bodies XD. Maybe I'm over thinking it but since Alarial"the life goddess" can heal things and remove corruption feels like sigmar could have her help with healing of the stormcast issue with their corruption. Or does she only heal physical bodies and not spiritual healing?

It makes me really sad you didn’t mention the Lord Exorcist, they seem to be above the Knight Incantor and second only to the Lord Arcanum. Plus they wield a ghost busters box on a staff.

I love the collecting the models and reading the lore but not so keen on playing. Am I alone. Everyone I see in group pages I'm on and Facebook groups all prefer to play. Am I missing out?

How I wish Kislev bear cavalry would return in AOS. If not in Stormcast Eternals at least to the Free Cities of Sigmar, Dracoline are draconic felines, gryph chargers and hounds are pack-like hunters almost as the Azyr's version of wolves, I miss the bears... tanky vanguard. Draco-Bears!

I actually just got the Stormcast half of the Soul Wars box (arriving today) as my first foundation of an AoS force, so it's neat to see the Sacrosanct get fleshed out before I assemble them. I'm thinking I'll also be painting them up as Anvils of the Heldenhammer (easier to paint, interesting story angle, etc). Now my only dilemma is do I keep this force as Sacrosanct only, or open the doors for some Liberators, Retributors, etc. Decisions, decisions...
