Күн бұрынThe plaintiffs say they dropped their dog off at the defendant’s animal care facility and got a call an hour later that their pet was badly injured. She was bleeding and had a hole in her paw requiring surgery, so they’re suing for the vet bill. The defendant says he’s been in business for 15 years and says the dog got a small cut that needed three stitches.

Ive been asking for earlier episodes to be uploaded for YEARS. They hv SO much content!. Idk why they keep repeating the same freakin cases. They would gain more viewers as well. Now I wish I would hv taped them when they were on.

The dog didnt puncture its paw on nothing. And the fact is - getting surveillance cameras to watch these kennels isnt all that expensive. Had they had that - they probably could have seen exactly what happened with the dogs foot. So, I think this guy could make some simple, but smart upgrades to try and prevent stuff like this from happening in the future.

The tatted guy on the street is ABSOLUTELY 1000% WRONG. The kennel has the obligation to ensure that the animals cannot cause harm and cannot have harm brought upon TO THEM!!!! What a jerk.

Typically the deductible of that type of insurance is $5000.

@@rtypepeOh. That is horrible. No incentive to pay the premiums. Most injuries are likely to be more minor and cost less than the deductible.

@@rtypepe I understand that it is a large out of pocket expense, but it is an overhead that would be included in what you charge the customer. I believe that these waivers that they have are wrong, once you leave your dog at the facility you have no more control over your dog.

As soon as I even think about packing my dog gets upset, and watches me even more closely than usual! I’m convinced that dog knows what I’m going to do before I do it. 😁

I'm an animal care specialist. He should have insurance for that. He didn't want questions about his facility. The run looked pretty standard in the pics, but a fine-toothed investigation could become costly. That's a chance you have to take.

Generally the owner is to provide beds. Dogs love to pee on things which smell like other dogs. My grandma had one. She provided blankets but washing dog beds is unrealistic. Some people brought beds, additional toys and their own blankets. But her pins were spaced out a lot more than that and the door has a run to outside and her doors were also larger so dogs could fit through to outside better.

The kennel I board my dog at request that you bring your dog's own toys if you like and your dog's blanket that has its own smell on it.

Agree my boarding facility provides raised cots for all dogs which is effective! My dog has ripped everything that I’ve sent there, from separation anxiety ig.

To be honest, the first thing I thought when I heard “special pets” was that they were caring for pets with special needs, e.g., blind, deaf, seizure disorders, etc. Now THAT would have been endearing.

A dog would not get dehydrated in 1 hour or 1 day. Bella knew her owners were going on vacation, suitcases being packed and felt their energy, I'm sure they were excited about a vacation. I'm sure Bella was already dehydrated before she got to the kennel. The defendant should not have been responsible for the second Vet bill, at least nit the whoke Vet Bill.

And this another reason i do not trust anyone with my dog. He goes where we go. It doesnt cost that much more for a hotel that allows pets. Ive taken ours to state championship softball games for 3 days. He wasn't happy about not being home and all the strangers but we handled it. Just bc it is a kennel business or pet sitter you can not trust anyone.

A lot of these places also have signs that say they’re not liable for dogs being damaged or they have a substantial amount that they pay in the incident of an injury. It also says it on their receipts. Surprised this place didn’t have a sign like that. I’ve seen cases from judge Malian and Judy when a dog gets nipped by another dog and the defendant won because they had those signs.

That’s was absolutely doggy solitary. They put his ass in the hole, my guess is he probably got hurt stepping on something on the way in the box. That’s a big dog and he probably put up a fight going in there. They don’t want to say that for some reason to lessen the blame. It doesn’t make a difference. He should have insurance or make people sign waivers. If you make me sign a waiver I’d take my dog elsewhere, so it’s the cost of doing business

What irks me is the plaintiff tryna play on the sympathy of the judge and get more money. Talking about okay for now and his stomach and dehydration etc. Why the friend didnt keep the dog from the beginning. The defendant was trying to settle things right but they wanted to be greedy.

Bad when the owner of a boarding facility calls owners boneheads. Such disrespect and callous attitude towards his clientele. He hopefully after this originally aired, he lost his clients and business.

I sincerely feel empathy for everyone. Including the kennel guy. I imagine he is upset. I would be. No one thinks {AFAIK} that he injured the dog on purpose. But, even with it being a total accident that the dog got hurt, his kennel is still responsible. That does not change an accident into malicious conduct on his part. He really needs to have insurance, if he doesn't. But, I do hope for his mental health that he does realize no one is saying he did something to the dog. He's even right about the dog could have gotten injured even in a padded run. She could have gotten a claw caught and ripped it out, for one possible way.

As a dog owner you sometimes can not help minor or major injuries. The owner did the right thing by phoning them. Not his fault and this is the reason you have PET INSURANCE! This woman is annoying me, not gonna watch the end of this because I will be pissed if JM awards them!

Judge was dead wrong in this case. The verdict should've been only about half of what it was because the bills directly related to the injury were only 500 and something. The other bills they said had something to do with her being dehydrated and not eating and having something wrong with her stomach lining and stomach lining issues don't have anything to do with a puncture in the paw. She should not have gotten that at all. But Anza for her and the judge always says she doesn't give bananas

I agree. Bella knew they were leaving, dogs see them packing their suitcases, people get excited about vacation, dogs pick up that energy, etc. Bella was dehydrating before the kennel. They dont dehydrate in one hr or one day. Defendant should not had to pay for that second bill, or maybe should have been responsible for 1/2.

The vet bills were BLOATED. Did not need xrays. Did not need the second visit. The dog was not eating because it was in a strange place with the other woman. That's why. DUH.

You would be the worst judge on the planet. Real judges have to base judgments off of laws and evidence. Your misguided feelings have no place near the great responsibility of upholding justice. Are you sure you don't want to fabricate some ridiculous fake racism claims? Like, maybe one day last week the defendant went to the store and parked next to a car owned by a black man so obviously the judge decided against him? I mean, it sounds stupid as hell, but it's right in line with most of the ignorant tripe you post.
