Hey everyone, welcome back to the Nostalgic Neighborhood! In this episode, we dive into my first-ever flatland jam BMX experience at the 2024 Aggro Jam hosted by Aggro Dezynz, set in the vintage vibes of St. Louis Skatium.
Join me as I navigate through this nostalgic journey, taking in the old-school charm of the rink, mingling with the friendly BMX community, and witnessing some awe-inspiring flatland freestyle from riders of all ages and skill levels. Special shoutout to Greg from Arkansas and all the incredible riders who shared the floor - your passion and skills are truly inspiring.
I came as a novice but left filled with admiration and a renewed love for BMX. This video is all about embracing the energy, the community, and the sheer joy of flatland BMX. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just curious about the scene, there's something here for everyone.
Don't forget to check out the incredible work by Delco Media and Aggro Designs - their dedication to the sport truly brings the community together. And a nod to the past with a special appearance of a Brett Foster t-shirt - a reminder of the lasting impact of BMX legends.
Excited to share this adventure with you and perhaps even more excited to hop on my own bike again. If you enjoyed this journey into the world of flatland BMX, hit like, share your thoughts in the comments, and don't forget to subscribe for more trips down memory lane and into the heart of action sports.

Big thanks to Chris G for organizing this! His efforts in this sport the last few years has kinda rekindled my relationships with the Hip Tricks guys from 30+ years ago. Some of the greatest memories I have from BITD!

Awesome video! The guy from Chicago is Tony Abasolo doing the surfers he does a lot of parades in Chicago as part of 43 flat team. Bryan Huffman is from NC and has been riding a long time. I am also from NC so I remember when Bryan started showing up in 87 at events. Bryan runs Huff Jam in Winston Salem NC. Jon Dowker rode the red bike doing all the hard rolling tricks. Flatland is a great group activity and it is all focused on the rider learning to balance and beat his mind as often our mind keeps us from pulling tricks. Austin is a Pro level rider his tricks compete with Dub. I'm Glenn the guy from Cincinnati and run Cincinnati Flatland Fanatics. I also do video and photography. And clearly have a youtube as well. Most of my social media is based on my Trails of Doom branding. The guy doing the side glides is Pierce O'scar from Chicago. Super cool guy and runs a charity for veterans. It was awesome to meet you and chat with you!

Hi Glen! So great meeting you and hearing your stories. I found your Instagram account this morning and followed you (just subbed here on YT too), you shared some fantastic photos from the event. You clearly have a knack for both riding and photography 🙌 Thanks for taking the time to share so many details about the riders, it’s super helpful!!! I noticed your Hollywood Buckeye Bike show shirt, I’m planning to drive over to Dayton for that… Hope to see you there 👍

@@TheNostalgicNeighborhood Awesome! I run the flatland jam at the Buckeye Bike show. Last one we had over 30 of our Cincinnati Flatland Fanatics show up to do the demo during the show and Eddie Fiola stopped signing so he could come ride with us as he said we were having to much fun and he wanted to be apart of it! Buckeye bike show is a killer event!

Nice! I went to California in January and accident rode up on Eddie Fiola, Martin Apario, and John Buultjens Buultjens, and a bunch of others. I talked with Eddie and John, and Eddie gave me a hat. It was HB Tuesday. Eddie sat on my bike as my wife took pictures and video of me meeting my childhood hero's 😅

Dude, that’s so cool!!! I knew that Eddie and Martin do those HB sessions, but I can only imagine how mind blowing it would be to just stumble on them riding. And to have Buultjens there with them. So rad!!!! 🙌
