Poodles are a severely underestimated dog. And they do a lot more things than people give them credit for. Poodles rule!!!!

Michelle GRUBER I can’t agree more. I grew up with a king poodle, he was my best friend. Later I had a rescue poodle. He didn’t like to be touched and I told the children in the neighborhood that he loved it to listen. And he did, went to sit down to listen.

The Mighty Poodle. My dog. Yes!!!!!!!!!!! Best dog in the world and the best looking too! High intelligence, low prey drive, outstanding athlete, champion agility, does not bark unnecessarily, does not shed, portable size, loyal companion, can defend itself even against a pitbull with a fierce counterattack, loves to swim and hike with you, game for anything, and looks like a movie star. What else do you need in life, eh? Just a poodle or Pudelhund.

Poodles are incredible, got my first one in December and it has been the most athletic dog I’ve ever had , they can jump really high and catch , can swim, run and are great for taking outdoors

Terri-Leigh Totally agree! And why is it that standard poodles are in the show ring under different categories depending on the country and continent (companion dogs, water-retrievers, etc. and under different sizes)? And if your/any standard (or other sized) poodle wants to compete in obidience, lurching, water-retrieving, or even as herders, in addition to excel and not be biased against and laughed about by other competitors (although their laughs end pretty soon..), all POODLES must have also CH from the show ring? And fully physically examined, meaning body physics, DNA/other results like regular PRA and other exams (€), and of course the hind-legs result and statement (no matter if your dog is young or more aged. To be accepted to participate in any official show competion, the rules oblige that the dogs are shown in 'show' coat (takes at least two years to grow and trim that 'show coat'. It is for the poodles, people to get their own classes and be rid of the straight jacket, that only promotes 'the stupid poodle' approach. How could we who agree to somehow represent a view of standard (and other) poodles could be shown in a clean, non-mattered, non-conditioned coat, no matter what is the form? Florida, Continental, English, Nordic, etc. clips? Any good dog should be entitled to participate and compete in a group and class. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hKqldbF2q5_FiIE.html

Not the fastest, but letter perfect every step of the way. Good run! Beautiful dog! And I love watching dogs single-foot the weaves; I assume that each dog determines that for itself. Brilliant!

me and my mother LOVE intelligent dogs her favorite dog is a toy poodle however i like aussies both dogs are highly energetic and intelligent these dogs are amazing at agility and high jumping

So nice to see a poodle running in agility, people always forget they were working dogs and were bread as water retrievers. They just assume they all belong in the show ring. I have a standard people x old English sheepdog and he loves agility and other dog sports

Poodles are severely underrated. I love my miniature poodle, she is smart, loving, active and super fast. Best guard dog and loving companion. Perfect pet!

A lot of people don’t want a poodle because they are ‘Old Lady’ dogs. Little to they know how they were bred as duck dogs, and excel in sporting trials. Sad, but they are missing out on an awesome dog that adapts easily to many lifestyles, and don’t shed. I’ve had 3 poodles so far, and just put a deposit on my next. Awesome companions, and true family dogs.

I’m so glad that poodles are finally getting the attention they deserve outside of the show ring. I have a standard girl who is absolutely amazing. We keep her hair short like a hound except in the winter where we let it grow to about 1 1/2 inches. We’re also getting another poodle pup pretty soon. He’s a beautiful Merle standard and I’m hopping to do agility with him when he’s old enough.
