@@tonyvelasquez6776 no, we dont have this in Slovenia (country in Europe) I only saw this in Discovery auctions where people bought abendend one So thats why I am asking, like you only rent storage, without lights and shelves? I mean, are you allowed to use whatever bulb you want? Like if you like T8 flurescent tube, can u use that to light your storage unit? How much does it cost? I assume that when you stop paying rent then discovery guys get your stuff?

@@Veso266 Yes, you rent storage units by the month, depending on where you are and how big of a unit you want this can be relatively inexpensive, or as much as renting a small apartment. Most indoor units (around here anyway) have electricity available and some form of lighting, however not all of them have heating or air conditioning and the ones that do are more expensive. Part of the rental contract gives the owner of the storage complex the legal rights to whatever is in the unit if the rent has not been paid, there is usually some protections under the law, so its not like if you're a day late you lose your stuff. You get plenty of warning before they sell all your stuff. That's where the auctions come in, the owner of the storage unit gets some money to cover the lost rent, and the auction buyer comes and cleans it out for them, ready to rent out to the next person. The person who buys the contents is taking a big gamble, its not like you see on TV, the kind of stuff you find in abandoned storage units is the same kind of stuff you'd find in a cluttered basement, the stuff nobody wants, leftover from the last time they moved. Sometimes you get lucky and find enough of value to make a profit.

@Veso266 oh wow, I guess I assumed everywhere had these. You rent them out by month, the price can range a lot depending on size, whether there's air conditioning, etc. This one is probably between $150-$250 a month. Smaller ones can go for $50-$80 a month. Normally, there aren't any light bulbs in them because they're small. There's usually lighting in the facility (like a big warehouse with crates). I've never seen one that comes furnished, usually it's just an empty room with a drop down door. I've never used one big enough to even have light bulbs so I really am not sure, but if I had to guess I would say that you can't put any lights in it, you have to use the lights already installed, and replacing the bulb would probably be up to you. The ones I've used have had no electrical connection, though
