GarageStudio Agnes became famous in 2005, before Leona. Plus, she used to have curly hair already when she was at swedish Idol in 2005. So, maybe it's Leona who is Agnes' twin :)

Let's say "(it) bring"! Not "(it) bringS". The ending -s seem to be abundant and confusing for a single object or person (he, she, it). Because the ending -s is also used to indicate plural form of objects and people (book-bookS, driver-driverS) That's why "it bring" sound better than "it brings". Otherwise the system of verbs and substantives seem to be confusing: He bringS - They bring_ But: One ring_ - Two ringS Better: He bring - They bringS (logical isn't it? because "they" mean 2 and more, needing the indicator of plural -s) just like we say for substantives: One ring - Two rings However, it is easier and better to use verbs without this ending at all: He bring_ - They bring_ to make a good balance. Any way, we use the same verb form in the Past for 1 and more people and objects: He brought_ - They brought_ Even using an ending in the Past: He steppED - They steppED

This song is one of the mysteries in my life, because I would have swore this was one of the most popular and successful pop anthems of 2009, only to see that it was in fact a very underrated song. I'm French and this song was nonstop on the radio, and just sounded absolutely timeless, combining the best of all periods of this genre and with such a golden voice and simply wonderful composition!!

This song was such a hit and one of my favourite songs while growing up even though I didn’t speak English and didn’t understand the lyrics. I found it over 10 later when going through a toxic relationship and finally understood what it meant and it is still one of my favourite songs.

I’d say to define boundaries of what’s acceptable to do with friends where it doesn’t make any of you uncomfortable and same standards and limitations in those friendships for both of you.

After 13 years, I finally found this song again! You know, when I first heard this song, I actually thought it was Leona Lewis singing this song because she and Agnes both sound and look suspiciously similar. But all in all, “Release Me” felt like the end of my days in foundation (2008-09) and the start of my days in Year 1 (2009-10).

I actually just discovered Agnes about two years ago. And I have to say this is one of the most perfect pop songs I have ever heard. I'm a singer, so quality vocals are always a must for me. So...well...CHECK! But what makes a perfect pop song for me, is the "sing alongableness." Ya know? It just plain has to feel good on your mouth as you sing it. Plus the way she chooses to deviate from the melody lines as the song repeats itself is just brilliant. Definately not obvious choices. She has me as a fan for life!
