Years ago some rice farmers in order to deal with the residue they applied 28% uran to the stubble in the fall but, that was when Nitrogen was fairly inexpensive butt, it was still an expense....

Hello everyone, how many kilograms of urea do we put per hectare in the corn field, and do we spread manure or sprinkle paper? Best regards to all

Presentation is full of holes. What value does a PSNT test (soil nitrate) have in the fall for decisions next spring? None, unless you have full knowledge of winter/spring weather will be relative to nitrate left for new crop (wet vs, dry). Ammonia is the feedstock that mineralizing N to breakdown crop residue carbon/fiber, not residual nitrate as you suggest. Wasted money on testing!!

Thanks for info. We buy most of our fertilizer for the next crop while combining in November corn in Canada. Which means we're soil testing with crop in field, and before freeze up. Manure application is the same. All done in fall.
