Watching this video the first time, I cried uncontrollably. Knowing that this song is Yoongis reality tore/tears my heart into pieces. BUT he did let us know in that final concert, by walking through the door, that he's healing beautifully from his past traumas...which (surprise surprise) made me cry. I truly adore Min Yoongi for who he was, is, and will be.

To me, this is a perfect visual representation of what it’s like to fight your amygdala. I even sent it to my therapist so she could see what it’s like. It’s trying to make you react to a similar situation in the past rather than what is actually happening now. I literally have to tell myself sometimes, “No, this isn’t what happened before. This is different. Let the me of now handle it.” Some days you win, some days it wins. A long winded way to say it’s powerful and hits me deeply. I sobbed through it when I saw it live. I have so much respect for the work he’s put into himself. He’s grown so much and seems freer these days. I love that for him and am grateful he’s always been willing to share his journey with us.

The room represented his amygdala where all those traumatic events are both t locked away and as vivid as the day they happened. The raw open scar is a metaphor for him choosing or not being able to heal from this series of events. He is asking himself to let himself out and be free. This duality ties the inner conflict discussion with himself in Daechwita and Haegum together w Amygdala. At the last perfirmance of his DDAY tour in Seoul, that door appeared and after his encore performance of The Last, he walked through it - making peace w himself and letting ARMY know that he is ok as he walks towards the next chapter - Enlistment.

Watching this reminds me of the talk/interview between RM and Pharrell when Pharrell said: “Pain is the most vivid paint we can use as artists. “. Suga embodies this is his work.

Suga resolved it in so many ways during the last three concerts in Korea. He is literally a musical genius. It's like he followed a timeline in his head and planned the ending of his concert tour down to the last detail throughout the years. From the last three concerts the songs he chose to sing with JK, Jimin, and RM spelling out BTS to the ending of the final concert with him showing us he's doing very well and has managed to escape all the trauma, to showing us his 7 tattoo, and finally less than 24hrs after the last concert BigHit announcing that he withdrew his request for deferment of his military enlistment. He left no stone unturned for the end of chapter one, and so beautifully prepared us for chapter two.

I just got these lyrics tattooed on me along with a lotus flower. Was all this pain just for me/Neverending trials failed to kill me/Still I bloom as a lotus flower I'd like to share a bit with the class. Long story short, I was once 30 years old, married with a family of 4. Today I'm 37, widowed in a family of 1. However in those 7 years, I obtained a college degree along with a career working for one of the most highly sought after employers in my field. I live in a new state and pretty much have a whole new life. It wasn't easy and I had so many setbacks. And still, those memories resurface often and remind me just how and why I've gotten to this point to begin with. I'm not there yet but I hope to one day walk through that white door as well. The lyrics he wrote described how I've felt these past 7 years in words I could never conveyed myself. I've never felt such a connection to a song, much less a music video. I went to his NY concert on day one, I didn’t know what songs he would play, but I kinda knew that Amygdala would play last. And when it did, I cried, simple as that, I feel bad for the girl who was beside me because she could probably hear my sobbing, my step mum, who came with me and was recording, was asking me why I was crying, and the reason is because I have suffered a lot in my life, I dare to say the same amount as Yoongi, and hearing the song brings so many memories and it brings me comfort. However, my parents said that the song makes me look “dead” and “depressed” and forbid me from listen to the song ever again. I don’t listen to them though and Amygdala might be my most listened song of the year💀

The first time o saw this i cried so much. Then I pulled myself together but when I saw him run to try to save himself from his trauma it broke me...having experienced trauma the way yoongi visually depicts the uphill battle ( crawling on the floor while it moves upward) Showing his accident and reliving it over and over its so brave of him to just lay it all out for everyone. Suga is my bias and I think he is a very talented idol I love him so much his vocal is good his rap is amazing his dance is amazing and his visual is amazing but when I first heard this song and watched its mv I cried a lot because this song also tells about what he went through in the past for example he actually had that motor accident and his shoulder is so bad he was hurt badly he wasn't in some bts scene and i always looked for him suga he is very precious to me he always gives me strength suga is my role model And in this life, I will always take him as an example. Amygdala is my favorite song on D-Day. I cry every time I watch the music video. After I read their book, Beyond The Story, I realized how much Yoongi went through over the years with the pain, anxiety, and trauma. It must be so freeing for him after his final concert day 3 to walk through that door and I'm so happy for him. I bawled my eyes out with him on day 3 when he got emotional. I can only imagine how cathartic that was. Almond is also a great book. It's a very quick read and I highly suggest it. Keep up the great reactions and thank you! 💜💜💜

He couldn’t tell about his accident because he hadn’t debuted yet. He was afraid the company wouldn’t let him debut as part of BTS, so he didn’t tell anyone and suffered with the shoulder injury until he had surgery a few years ago.

He was afraid to tell BigHit about the accident as he was working part time to pay his university fee's while training etc and he was afraid if he told them about the accident he'd not be allowed to Debut with the rest of members. He lied about the accident and continued on in pain which got worse over the years and he never got the correct treatment. It finally got so bad he finally came clean about the accident and had to have his shoulder operated on which he did in Covid and he had months of recovery.

My grandpa had a metal valve in his heart from the time he was hurt in the army, and I used to sit on his lap and lay my head over his chest and hear the ba-click ba-click instead of ba-dum ba-dum. I remember the very moment that I realized that his heart would tick away all day and night even when no one was listening. It might have been my first realization that the world was bigger than what I was seeing and doing and aware of. The lyrics about a clock in someone’s chest threw me back into that moment as soon as I saw them. This song, man.

The song is intense and real but is also hopeful. He can't get through the door at the end as 'what's done is done'. You can't change the past, you can only try and let the past go and live in the here and now. A great example to live by for most of us if you want to live life with an easy mind. 💜

But these for some reason made me feel more. When i heard this for the 1st time i smiled. This MV speaks his truth. I am glad Suga talked about it more. I think the more u speak about it the easier it gets as the years pass. I am sorry he went through so much. I am sad he did not reach the door. I think this song is tricky. They are our strength and we theirs. I was finally able to cry for him at last on my 2nd watch. My therapist said I am not afraid of death. I faced my death already dealing with cancer. So his truth was not that shocking to me. But still I wanted to cry for him because he can't. In Daechwita (D-2), he replaced "blond Agust D" from the first mixtape (he was blond for the MVs he released in 2016), who was a king who ruled out of anger... in Haegeum, a new Yoongi who DOESN'T have a scar, he's healed from his trauma - or at least has learned how to have it not continue to hurt him any more by self-inflicting wounds in response to it - and Haegeum Yoongi replaces D-2 Yoongi whose scar is old but still there, and is ruling in a civil manner but perhaps too caught up in the flexing aspect (the fancy suit, the slick image). I think Haegeum is the end on a note of Yoongi being free, and living the way he wants. Amygdala is needed to explain that key though - what Yoongi had to go through mentally to get to that point. The fact that he's sharing this with us, to me, means that he's reached a healthy place where he feels strong and recovered enough to share the story. Even if he can't put a firm happy ending on it, because you can't do that with mental struggles - in the latest episode of Suchwita, he even tells RM that he gets low every 2-3 years, but has learned how to handle it better as time has passed, and now RM thinks he's the most positive person on the team. Snooze and Amigdala make me cry

I continue to cry watching this video. I see it as Suga on one side of the door and Agust D on the other. Agust D being born and him trying to find his way back to Suga, and then Yoongi. Daechwita and Haegeum, him destroying the evil/angry/hurt parts of himself. There’s always so much more than we see and everyone can interpret it differently but I believe any interpretation is correct. It definitely hits you in the feels.

The first time I saw this, of course I got chills, despite the fact that part of his past was already known due to things that he has shared in his own words, I somehow really wanted to cry when I saw such a graphic or "literal" representation of what has happened in his life. Now that I look back at it, it still makes my eyes teary, but seeing the last concert of the tour, now it somehow gives me a comforting air. He managed to get out of that door, he managed to get out of this room where he was part of his life in which there was much suffering, despair and even going. He is now free from all that suffering and is happy, at the concert at the end you really felt happiness on his face, now he has blossomed again like a lotus flower. At the end of the concert I couldn't stop crying, partly it was sadness that the tour was over, another part was happiness to understand everything that was happening, also pride and happiness for Yoongi of course 🥺🥲💜 Thanks for your analysis guys 💜

He couldnt tell the company about his accident as he would have been let go as a trainee. Then still as they we not established. And I guess, as most of us 27:44 that hide something it, becomes an ingrown fear that something bad will happen to us if we diclose our secret. I cried a lot during this MV and the making of it simply because of how brave Yoongi was to get back on a delivery bike after all these years. I can't fathom how he must've felt even seeing it & the model of the car that caused his accident in the first place. Because as y'all all know by now... Nothing in a BTS MV is a coincidence. He is a living superhero and I am proud to be apart of his journey. Looking back at all of their concerts, MV's, Jacket shoots, RUN BTS, Trailers & dance practices, he must've been is agonizing pain due to how difficult the choreography was (No More Dream, N.O, We are Bulletproof pt.2, ext). They went hard during all of them & little did we know our Meow Meow was suffering so much. I love him to my core along with the other members & I will keep loving them until the end of my days. Hello J&J twins hope everything is well . I have just recently stumbled upon your channel and has been watching some of old reactions ..I'm sure by now you have already watched D Day the Final cause it was answered there. He's cleared it now and was happy opened the door and it was also the day that he was so emotional ,he was sobbing for the entire 3 songs. Btw He couldn't tell Bighit of his accident because he was afraid that he might not be able to debut as they might consider his injury the reason for him to stop . Another thing it wasn't mentioned on the song but Suga said before when he was still a delivery boy he caught his EX gf cheating on him when he delivered foods at the hotel and after the guy opened the door Suga saw his gf then. I think that's another reason of his depression.

As an older International Army member I only heard the song twice and only watched the video twice because it literally makes me cry just because it reminds me of my own health issues ( born with both developmental and physical disabilities and although I've walked using crutches for my entire life I still often wonder if I'd ever be able to walk " normally " or not

That video truly is hard to watch. It hurts that we can't help him with that. That this is something he has to get through and we can't help with that.I didn't even notice i cried while watching it for the first time. I did notice me crying in the last concert when he walked through the door.
