I love your reaction. Little theoretical backgroud on the MV: Agust D is ordinary man that does his work on this world and the ruthless king is his ego. You can actualy see that the scar on the face of the king is fresh and on Yoongi is healed. Propably what he supposed to be in this word. In the begining of the MV 1:14 (in your video) he made a deal with the man from the market. You picked up pretty much everything :D nice. Even with his dead soul, when the beat changed, he was blindfolded from the word and it´s wonders by money, power, house... He wanted to have it all but it slowly turns him into mad king. It’s the first time I’ve ever heard suga rap in English, haha it’s so intriguing. I think that’s what got me hooked, their duality is astounding, you never know what to expect, they sing rap dance and they’re a genre on their own. If you like the rap specifically then I’d watch agust d by agust d (suga in BTS), joke by RM (another BTS rapper), and maybe Ddaeng by the whole BTS rap line. All of their songs are deep and meaningful, and are typically not translated well, especially the rap bc it gets complex with the wordplay and cultural expressions/references. Nobody mentions that he drives a car into the Joseon period of Korean history with modern clothes, and gun, Suga is a genius. Daechwita is Korean traditional marching music played when the King or Royalty and important guests visit, and when the Army would be on the march. Suga aka Agust-D is both the bad King and himself using an alter ego to become Agust D it frees him up to do his solo music. In Korea the more adult content is not in approval, since it does not have the lower standards of the U.S. and western countries as far as language, smoking sexual references, to have a bigger entrance in the western marketplace. All the BTS members have been doing more adult content in solo music for the West. They have also wanted to try to go solo because they never had the chance when all members were usually writing music, coming up with choreography and going on tour their schedules were grueling and now they have taken to doing their own solo music because in Korea there is mandatory military service which everyone must do within a required time frame. They wanted to take this time to go solo and will return as a group after they have all been discharged. In this day and age, it would be a good idea for leading countries to do the same. Jin and J Hope have already entered the military, the boys that haven't joined yet are RM, Suga, Jimin, Tae or V, and Jung Kook.
