This is a traditional French folk song. Another video from my 1965 PBS shows, as part of the What's New series for children. Forgive the occasional mispronunciations.

Thank you, Zen. I am so glad I was able to get a hold of these. I did them so long ago and they were sitting in some library in Brooklyn for many years and someone... a fan, I think, uncovered them and sent some to me. I bought the rest - well, paid to have them transferred from VCR to DVD. I'm so glad you're enjoying them.

J'ai été surpris la première fois que je l'ai entendu appréciant vos chansons et ne sachant pas que vous aviez chanter une chanson française, et je dois dire que je l'apprécie toujours autant :) Merci de la France je ne sais pas mais je l'espère, en tout cas merci de quelqu'un de Pornichet en Loire-Atlantique en France

@@tracynewman3256 Are you fluent in French or was this just for the performance? I ask because I recently did a Balfa Brothers tune where I have nearly no idea what I'm singing and there's some synchronicity of stumbling on this video in the same day.
