In my opinion Morten (and the others two a-Ha members) is one of the little few singesr and songwriters who does his job with sincerity, he doesn't care about what is trending, he just care about what music realy is and music is not success or money (those things are business), music is emotion, is heart, is mind and is spiritual.

+Shy Moon I enjoy Morten Harket's and a-ha's music, but I don't completely agree with you. :) There are times when they try a bit too much to please larger audiences. For example, Harket's 2012 solo album Out of My Hands used some dubstep-influences that didn't really work for me. Also, a-ha hired songwriter Max Martin (who has written songs for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Taylor Swift and many others) to make their single Analogue more radio-friendly. Their plan worked out, as the changed chorus written by Martin turned the song into a hit in many countries. The original version of the song (Minor Key Sonata) is also on KZfaq. It's a good track, but it's not as clear hit material as the newer version. :)

Oh how I wish to see him in concert again. Hope he is doing fine right now (Jan 16th 2024) as the public hasn't heard or seen him since December 2022 when a video of him getting his Christmas tree from his garden was posted. Some people try to persuade people who have similar feelings that everything is alright although they can't prove it themselves. Met him in 2012 and saw him many times live. Fantastic musician and a very down to earth guy. He's a Christian brother. Pray to Jesus for his health. Amen

I agree with Shy Moon. What made A-ha so popular was not just the good looks and good songs, but the sincerity in their songs. Morten's connection with his spirituality, maybe, allows him to keep so loyal to his convictions of making songs that talk to his inner one.

Since the release of this song, I realized that this track is my most favorite... I have a brother with whom I went through many trials, I did not always put up with him. And quite often we suffer mutual resentments. But when I'm alone, this song always comes. I am very grateful to the author for her, thanks to her I once again understand that my brother is with me until the end of time. PS didn't write a review for a long time... I didn't talk to my brother for two years... On the eve of a family holiday, I listened to a song... And I again... Brother... Thank you very much!!!

Great song, sad that so many families are torn apart by dysfunction. This song is for my older brother who has never treated me with one ounce of respect. When I see other families with children that are very close, I am filled with sadness for I truly envy what they have. The words "you are still my brother until the end of time" is like a weight I can never bear. I am bound like a prisoner to my own flesh and blood. What makes a sibling abusive? I don't know. What did I do to my brother to make him hate me? The imagery in this video haunts me for I feel like the person Morten is portraying. I am drowning and I cannot move. When I try to find logical reasoning for why my brother has hated me since I was a born, I just get lost in the fog of confusion.

+spudmonkey I understand. I have this amazing view of my older brother. and he ended up being a spineless piece of crap. I was a mess, but at least I did the right thing. my siblings sucked. we were treated badly by our parents, I decided somewhat soon on, that I wouldn't let my siblings treat me bad. and also they couldn't be what I wanted them to be, either. hope this helps

I totally agree, by a long way too, he is real class, and is on another level to most vocalists of yesterday and today. This song is simply beautiful, he still has such a vocal range that shines all the way through this song. Glad I managed to get tickets for the 2020 Hunting High and Low tour...👍❤

This is definitely one of the best if not THE BEST song from Morten Harket ever in my opinion!!! It's almost 10 years old now in 2023 but this is a timeless masterpiece of a song that never gets old. I remember this song as a big hit on every radio station here in Norway in 2014 and i have so many good memories from the summer of 2014 to this beautiful song. Even today i can listen to this song for hours on repeat just because this song is so beautiful.

Многие говорят что клип непонятно про что, а мне кажется все очень органично в этом видео. Мне кажется что грязная вода, и даже видно что его подбородок грязный - это проблемы и недопонимания которые их затянули. И то что меняются времена года это значит что они длятся уже не первый год. Выглядит так что он скоро утонет, Но!! Он все же ещё держится, он дышит- а значит это Надежда на хорошее….на примирение с братом

MY brother and me have had a few years of fighting going, but now in May our mother died. It sadly was what it took for us to come together, my mother was so happy on her deathbed that she gave us two thumbs up on her few last minutes of her life to show her gratitude, I am so angry with my self, I can not understand why arguments arise in this way.. Family is always first..

Мне 18, слушаю A-ha с малых лет, отец крутил их песни очень-очень часто, наверное поэтому я, не зная английского, уже к 6 годам напевал "Тэ-ээк аан мии", "Ханти ха эн ло"..) Прошло около 12 лет, я до сих пор периодически включаю A-ha, и ностальгирую, мне кажется, что у них самая душевная и мелодичная музыка, что я когда-либо слышал.. Это уже не говоря о вокале Мортена..) П.С. Вкусы отца тоже не изменились, он помнит об этой группе, так что парой в доме можно услышать такие композиции, как Brother, Celice, Lifelines, Hunting high and low...

Perhaps one of most charming and humble singers ever. And this may be an understatement. He aged amazingly well like a good red wine. Imagine if he were AMERICAN or English. I simply do not have words to describe how his voice transmits feelings that otherwise cannot “emerge.” It is tough for me to explain the fullness and completeness once I hear certain lyrics performed by Morten. But above all my admiration goes to his humble and low profile standing throughout the years. A true beacon for every generation. Well done Morten. We all admire you and love you!
