@@user-se3nx6sf6u Согласитесь, что у Everly Brothers это была просто милая песенка, приятная и только. А вот у a-ha она стала шедевром. Всё-таки от аранжировки и тембра певца очень много зависит. Так что можно считать, что эта песня была создана заново, и создана шедеврально! Вряд ли кто-то теперь сможет забабахать кавер лучше и интереснее.

Впервые услышал эту композицию в 90-м, когда был в рейсе на рыболовном траулере. Место промысла находилось в антарктических водах, в суровых краях. И когда посмотрел "Crying in the rain" (в кают-компании как раз проигрывали видеокассету с клипами MTV), то она мне запомнилась на всю жизнь. Как-то всё срослось - и здешний климат, и голоса, и раскаты грома... А ещё ностальгия, конечно.

I remember buying this album (on cassette) just before we deployed to the Gulf in 90-91. I'd play this song first to help me sleep. Took me a while to remember the name, so after a few failed google searches, I came across this video and as soon as I heard the rain and thunder in the opening, I was back in Saudi Arabia. Good and bad memories without question. Thanks for posting and carrying me through some of the worst times.

+JP Davis such is the power of magic that it can carry one through those dark moments i can claim anything as extreme as what you've gone through but it also helped through some of my darker hours!! so be safe out there and ENJOY m8!!

Сингл вошел в альбом East of the Sun and West of the Moon 1990 года, как главная песня альбома и всего настроения. Клип был снят в Монтане, городок Big Timber, с потрясающими видами и пейзажами долин и гор Crazy Mountning. Режиссер видео Стив Бэррон. Дата съемок клипа 30.09.1990-01.10.1990 года. Для съемок в маленьком городке это было целое событие, наняли даже пожарных для создания эффектов дождя. Клип снят в осенних мотивах бабьего лета. Сюжет - трое бродяг мечтателей грабят банк и ищут приключений и свободы. Музыканты сняты как-бы со стороны, старой пленкой типа семейной видеохроники. Для съемок клипа группа прилетела в Монтану и доехала до места на машине. В планах было снять видео за день, но они попали в аварию, сбив на дороге оленя. Пришлось ночевать в городке в отеле и снимать клип на следующий день или два. Погода была супер-заходящее солнце, осень, облака и тучи. Им повезло, что не выпал снег, что очень часто в Монтане в октябре. Клип крутили по MTV осенью 1990 года, где он занимал даже 3 место в Евро 20. Перевод песни есть в Интернете.
