In the 1950s, the Europeans used to cover themselves with long dresses and their hair with hats and black veils, the nuns also cover themselves, so why, when it comes to Islam, its double standards everywhere? The Qur'an first tells the believing men to lower their gazes, so even if they are in the midst of women wearing hijabs, mini skirts and crop tops, niqabs, bikinis, they are not allowed to look, this is curb any unnecessary desire, before then telling the believing women to lower their gazes and cover themselves. Another example: why do people put valuable diamonds or diamonds worth millions of money in a vault? So that a thief doesn't look at it and has the urge to steal it, in that way, Islam tells us our women are valuable and that they cover should themselves, that they are not covering themselves just because men can not control their desires( because I already explained that Allah said to the believing men first, to lower their gazes irrespective of where they are, before addressing the believing women) but because Allah Azzawajal instructed us to do so. Medina is one of the countries in the world that has zero record of sexual harrasment , rape or sexual assault case, why, because the believing men lower thier gazes and the believing women, dress modestly. Why do you put your money safely in your purse if it is very valuable to you? So that it doesn't get stolen, so if you value your money that much that you have to keep it covered, why should women not value their modesty and chastity by covering themselves

There is absolutely no country in the world that can claim "zero sexual assault". If they are reporting that, they're straight up lying to the people. People get sexual assaulted in jailhouses daily everywhere in the world. There is no way anybody can claim that, and it be factual at this point. Dressing a certain way does not give a man or a woman any right to say, "Well they shouldn't have dressed like that, or I wouldn't have done what my inhibitions led me to do." That's just plain irresponsible. That is why everyone everywhere has been fighting this oppressive behavior since the said 1950s because it's just plain wrong to force somebody to have a lifestyle because a person either can't keep their hands to themselves, or any religion speaks in favor of the said idea that people should be viewed as a lesser being because the opposite sex may have "thoughts of an unclean nature." There is no double standard which I am speaking about. The point is that there are a few religions left that still force those types of oppressive mindsets on their people. It is now time to put away those mindsets because having your personal belief in your God (or anybody's God for that matter) is one thing, but for that "God" to write down something in their precepts as trivial as wearing a type of clothing...and people STILL following that to this day; said people STILL not having a little 1st world clarity and realizing that the intention behind those meanings were valid for the time period when nobody stood up for themselves... that is a little concerning for future generations. We are a wiser human race. Though we still know not where we came from thousands of years ago, it stands to reason that we have to progress. Living in the "old ways" is not going to move us forward. You can have a deep and virtuous walk with your faith and God, but the idea of forcing someone to cover their face, whereby they do not get enough sunlight, or they develop skin conditions from the constant covering, or they get dry skin or lesions because of this, is wrong on more than just a philosophical level. It is taking away the right for a person to be who they are. Nobody was born with a "covering" so why should they be "Forced" to wear one? We come out naked, but we should have every right to see in our peripheral vision; a "covering" of any type prevents that. You see the Christians progressed...they had their "Conquests" back in the 15th century as well where yes, they persecuted other religions. The Christians were very heinous, and slaughtered millions. Then the Romans had their Heyday for people not believing in their Gods as well. All of this is the same.... the fact is we need to progress as a human race, and we can't do that by being stuck in the past. What good does it do to walk around all day "covering" yourself if all it's meant to do is prevent somebody from looking at you in a dirty way? There seriously needs to be some common sense applied without the quoting of a scripture... the quoting just keeps you stuck in your ways. People need to let go of the past already and face the reality that it's just inherently wrong to force something on somebody else.
