love how the the PLA vehicles are stupidly powerful while the infantry is just stupidly scuffed, those scopes are just painful and the irons on the mounted MG are so restrictive

In the past few hours I’ve been playing since the launch of the PLA I’ve found they are pretty overpowered. Their guns are laser beams and their amor capabilities are pretty good too. The AT is also insane on the PLA.

The reason why HJ8 reload so quick is that HJ8 will bump out the used launcher towards backward automatically after being fired, so u dont need to remove it by yourself, which save a lot time and make it only need 4.2 sec to reload and fire.

As an AT main, I'm loving the HAT kit The range finder is almost OP. The ability to sit under cover and get an accurate range on a vic makes it so much easier to score a hit on a vital area Not to mention, no more asking for an attack marker or trying to calculate range with binos. Add in a LAT or two and suddenly a whole AT fireteam has you ranged perfectly

@@maxlar7159 it doesn't work in local jensens range since it relies on having a server. just try in an empty server on jensens.

@max lar Yeah Jensens doesn't let it work if you're by yourself In an actual server it works fine. Just aim at your target and it will get you a range Just keep in mind you can't see the range while you hold shift to aim down the sight so if your targets moving or a heli it won't update

I wish the Chinese had a QBZ-191 instead of the old QBZ-95 rifle since it's their new main service rifle(but I guess this game takes place in the 2015)

The closes thing to the QBZ-191 would be the QBZ-03 that could be added. It was in service since 2003 but only with a select few units

The addition of the PLA into the game is an exciting update for me because the PLA is such a rare faction to see in any media let alone video games. Though there are DEFINITELY serious balancing and technical issues that should've been fixed before the update, it's still a great update for me overall.

the holo sight seems to be a Holosun (which been used by PLA for a long time), and was connected by an adapter, cuz type 95 was using the similar rails that the AK series uses(ak are side rails but 95s are on the top)

Weirdly enough, my favourite vehicle of the patch is the transport truck. I've had some fun in game on the gun. Its just nice being able to protect such a squishy vehicle

I’m just here bing chillin’ Oh also, you forgot to mention that the Chinese MBT has 4 atgm rounds as well. Having tested it, it doesn’t bop around like the refleks and doesn’t burn out until 1600m, making it probably the longest range atgm in the game.

Yea the sight was a bug in the testing area OWI gave me and the ATGMs weren't in the tank at the time of filming 😓

There are a few issues with the ztz-99a. The sight for the gun isn't supposed to be above the gun, that's a laser and The commander's weapon station isn't supposed to be remote controlled, that's a feature on the vt-4.

For the HMG Bunker, you use both sides, it goes back and forth on the range between left and right side, 100 starting on the right, skipping 200, then 300 on the left and so on, assuming they did it like that to prevent the ranges being so cluttered together on one side

The HAT loadout is basically one guy carrying both the rocket gunner kit and assistance rocket gunner kit. This guy is carrying a PF98A launcher weighting 8kg, a sight weighing 1kg, two projectile each weighing 8kg, a QBZ95 weighing 3kg, four fully loaded magazines, and firing the rocket without a tripod. Guy is gotta be made of pure muscle. I was hoping they would have some kind of unique loadouts, as PLA rocket gunner (and grenadiers) are generally not issued with rifles. Also the lack of QLZ87 for grenadiers is a bit disappointing.

The only problem I’ve had so far is utilizing the rangefinder on the PF98. It usually works generally up to ~150 to 200m in each game I’ve played so far

OWI gave me early access to 4.0 so I was able to get everything recorded and put together before the patch went live. It was tight going though 😂

Do not forget de shoval, geant version of a swiss knife, but more useful: it could be (you can use it as) a shoval, barbed wire fence scissors, cuisine knife, fry pan, battle-axe, sabre, pickaxe, even other tools to be explored

Honcho, for the LAT kit, the launcher zero is every line is 50 meters and it starts out at 50 meters.

PLA seems great. As for the next faction i would wish that we would get the Finnish now that we got Harju as a map. Some African nations would also be nice to see, or maybe the Indians. There are so many good options. Edit: Biggest thing on my wishlist tough are truely urban maps like maybe New York, Delhi, or Hong Kong whit the new PLA faction. I just want to be able to fight in big cities.

Big cities would be neat but definitely would love to see them add larger square footage to tall buildings, multiple stairwells (3-5), etc Especially if you go over 7 or 8 stories

I hope they field the type 10 and not the heavier type 90. Having a MBT with the speed of the Stryker even in reverse, the armor of the leopard and, a fast loading 120mm with the ability to carry cannon fired atgm, which the Japanese seem to really favor in place of standard AP sabots. Would make the play style very different and fun.

Agreed, though sadly they won't due to "having too many BLUFOR factions", which is a bad excuse, since their predecessor Project Reality had alot of BLUFOR factions including Germany, so your only chances is for the modding community

ZTZ-96 wasn't really based on the T-72 but more or less had some things that the T-72 had and China took due to its engineers wanting to base things off Western and Soviet equipment (the hull of the ZTZ-96 is an example of it) but for the ZTZ-99A which is the tank in-game. Outside of the caliber of the gun and autoloader it's mainly a farely Western style tank due to its height, the engine is a licensed built version of the MTU engines from Germany and I'm guessing you may play War Thunder (due to your pfp) ofc it's the NATO kind of reverse speed and one other thing which War Thunder didn't implement is the -7 to -8 Gun depression (I'm pretty sure they didn't implement it as it probably had something to do with the dart round incident and why it doesn't have 600+ pen) regarding squad I'm not sure because I haven't tried it out yet but does it have its -30+ km/h reverse speed?

Another thing, desert zbl with atgm doesn't have an ammorack, whereas the exactly same one with atgm but woodland camo does have an ammorack, owi at its finest yet again

Why is the field dressing the same for all factions except the Australian faction? Seems like they could have easily changed it, not sure why they left that detail out. Hell, just keep the same model but change the language of the text on the model to match the corresponding faction's country. A quick google translate and you're done.

*Quick tip for China but more of a meme* In melee. Throw your knife away or at the enemy. And then shout at the top of your lungs “STUDY FOR DOCTOR OR I SEND YOU TO JESUS!”. Worked for me most of the time.

If we all get modern equipment Redfor players will be whining about American FGM-148 Javelins and British NLAWs destroying their tanks and IFV's from 1000 meters, while Bluefor players will cry like little bitches after loosing all of their infantry and fortifications to a single russian combat engineer armed with RPO-A shmel or like a single thermobaric missile from Kornet-M. That literally will be a fucking hell.

Its best with a mic and some squad leaders will require one but mostly you will be fine if you listen to what the squad leader says

It makes it a lot easier with a mic, and people may get annoyed if you don't have one, but assuming you listen to your Squad leader and people around you as needed then people will be fine with it.

As someone who has a mic but just hates talking in general, it won't matter so much if you play in an infantry squad with chill squad leads. If you plan to be a tank crewman, however, that's a different story

Wdym the PLA is mid. Their guns are basically AKs, their tank is basically a t-72, the only good vehicle they have is the wheeled apc with the missiles.

@@wirb3859 do you play the game.. or are you talking about real life? Their guns aren’t really that similar to aks but the scope and the heavy mg, the scope is basically a revamped pso. The tanks hitmarkers are dog shit, you can barely track it with light at, and the vehicles take way too many hits, are fast af, and have really fast reload speeds
