Having to await each response and punchline adds a new level of appreciation for the craft. He is outright funny with no need for sympathy laughs or any hand holding. The metered out pace of how he communicates makes everything he says that much more impactful, being patient is part of enjoying his comedy. I feel I’m not explaining it well but I think my point is clear enough. You normally never really have to wait for comedy, but with Ahren it is a must and it does nothing but elevate the entire experience.
