Einfach nur schön und erfreulich, daß es noch junge Leute gibt, die sich für diese Musik begeistern können.

During a three year posting to Germany in the 1950's I spent all my time off visiting these unspoilt places, a wonderful way and pace of life unique to many parts of this region. I loved every minute and wish I could turn back the clock. It never failed to amaze me Just how many people could place music in small groups, without sheet music, and play pp and mp unlike so many groups and band's of today. I hope their culture and traditions are not diluted with the ever changing population changing countries. Top marks to all of those musicians who give so much pleasure to those who appreciate what is involved.☺

Super music by lovely kids. Behind every good child there is a good parent. So well done Mum and Dad for being daring and being single minded in giving your children beautiful skills. The Lord Jesus Christ bless you in all your ways. The skill you have is for the honour and glory of God. Praise God from whom all good things come!

This is just spectacularly beautiful music to us ALL, and has nothing to do with visiting Germany which I've done. I'm in redwoods in CA and this is great here also. Try Flachauer stubenmusic and uberetscher stubenmusg, etc also MANY good ones out here, but only 1 in 10-20 this pretty.

It's an interesting feeling the one I have when I listen to this kind of music. I've never been to Germany, I have no German ancestors and it brings tears to my eyes and a certain pain in my chest as if I were missing something or someone from the past .can anyone describe this feeling or Explain it to me? I'm all ears...
@iedapackham9 жыл бұрын
Kerry Norman I don´t believe in reincarnation. I am not skeptical about it. I just don´t believe it. Sorry. I´ve enjoyed a few stories in that line but just for fun. I just wished somebody would explain why I miss places I´ve never been to and I feel a deep connection with events that took place in World War II...What do you really think about it? What am I going to find in those books you´ve mentioned? I don´t want to mess up my mind...

@nebelung19 жыл бұрын
England also had this a couple of generations back, all of Europe did. But it has mostly been replaced by modern pop which is a shame.
@leegeon20969 жыл бұрын
Neue Ära why are modern pops shame? I don't see any difference in music except the instruments.
@nebelung19 жыл бұрын
egun82btv If you don't hear the difference between folk music and modern pop from the music industry, maybe then you need better ears :)
@leegeon20969 жыл бұрын
not just saying I need better ears, write the difference between them then. I'd like to know.
@nebelung19 жыл бұрын
egun82btv Well, where are you going with this discussion? Do you mean that all music is the same, or what exactly is the point you are trying to make? Well I can't bother trying to explain how pop and Volksmusik are different other than urge you to LISTEN, the answer is right in front of you. But I guess I could see what wikipedia tells us about pop music: "As a genre, pop music is extremely eclectic, often borrowing elements from other styles including urban, dance, rock, Latin and country; nonetheless, there are core elements which define pop. Such include generally short to medium-length songs, written in a basic format (often the verse-chorus structure), as well as the common employment of repeated choruses, melodic tunes, and hooks." And Volksmusik: "It (Volksmusik) tends to be dialect-heavy and invokes local and regional lifestyles and traditions, particularly those of the Alpine farmers and peasants. Transmitted by oral tradition, oldest historical records like the Appenzell Kuhreihen by Georg Rhau date back to the 16th century. Typical instruments range from alpenhorns to hackbretts, zithers and acoustic guitars, and even violas and harmonicas. Harmonized singing is frequent, but other pieces may require yodeling, while instrumental arrangements are particularly frequent for fast dances or brass pieces."

Frage mich, was ist Musik?
