Gonna do another essay here just so you know. Also he/him are my pronouns :P Huyang: Huyang first appeared in the Clone Wars yet never appeared in Rebels at all. I am unsure as to when, where or how Ahsoka and Huyang met up again but this show is his first appearance in any show since the clone wars. Huyang was supposedly built around 1,000 years ago and was built to aid Jedi in constructing their lightsabers. He would go with Jedi younglings to the planet Ilum and once the younglings got their kyber crystals, he would aid them in building their first lightsaber. This is how Huyang recognized Baylan Skoll’s lightsaber because he would have helped the young boy at the time build his lightsaber. Supposedly he also aided Yoda in building his first lightsaber. Huyang back in the clone wars was shown to have an understanding of what the force is and how force sensitives connected to it, whether it be from programming or experience. I believe that this is why he seems to be harsh or even downright dismissive towards Ahsoka’s training of Sabine as the mandalorian has shown zero force ability in any capacity. Moving on, I noticed you two were questioning why he was giving them the title Lady. From what I remember during his appearance in the clone wars the only beings he interacted with were Ahsoka, and a group of younglings comprised of both boys and girls, one even being a wookiee Jedi youngling named Gungi. So personally, I never heard him say the respectful titles but I do remember him specifically saying “Master Yoda”, so I am unsure as to whether it is just a gender thing or whether he does it to anyone he respects. The Clone Wars: Y’all made a slight error in terms of the timeline which is okay. The Clone Wars was only 3-4 years long and ended almost exactly 30 years before the events of the 3 seasons of Mandalorian, book of boba fett, and now the ahsoka show. Just wanted to clarify. Ahsoka is around 45 years old now while during the war she was ages 14-17. Ahsoka’s Jedi Lineage: Yoda, Dooku, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, and now Sabine. There are others in there in both canon and legends as Dooku had two other padawans in both canon and legends, one Rael Aveross and one Komari Vosa. Qui-Gon also had two padawans in legends before Obi-Wan named Feemor and Xanatos Du Crion. Luke Skywalker could also be included in this lineage as he is trained by Obi-Wan and Yoda as well. Either way, each Jedi in this line are very non-traditional and/or play a massive role in the story. Yoda is Yoda and I think we can leave it at that, he is a known troll in the movies, shows, and books. Dooku as you stated was born to a noble house on Serenno and was still considered a potential heir to Serenno. In the book Dooku: Jedi Lost, Dooku is called by his younger sister Jenza to aid in removing their corrupt older brother Ramil from the throne. Dooku does so, killing Ramil, and taking his position as Count since he was the next in line. This is also when Dooku officially left the Order but since he was a respected Jedi Master before he left, he could head to the Jedi Temple whenever he pleased. Some time after he leaves, he meets Palpatine and begins working with him to “fix” the galaxy. Aveross and Vosa while not as important were equally non-traditional with the former being a rebel before losing his padawan and taking a long-term mission. Komari Vosa I’ll leave to you to look up because she is honestly quite disturbing. Qui-Gon Jinn was obviously a maverick both in canon and in legends so he is about as non-traditional as you can get, especially if you look at legends where he has a fellow Jedi he loves, almost falls to the dark, and is kind of a shitty person to Obi-Wan for the first few years of their apprenticeship. Feemor and Xanatos are legends so I won’t dive into them. Obi-Wan was also non-traditional growing up and was assigned to Jinn because the Council believed that every padawan would eventually rebel against their master and how does one rebel against a maverick? They follow the rules thus leading Obi to become who we know in the movies, shows, and books. And let us not forget that Anakin had to get some of his recklessness from somewhere. Anakin was also very non-traditional which you already knew and this continued into the clone wars as his tactics were…unique to say the least yet somehow effective. Leading into Ahsoka’s debut, Anakin was only 19-20 when he received Ahsoka as his padawan. That is the difference in most Jedi apprenticeships, a master chooses their padawan. Anakin was assigned Ahsoka by Yoda in the hopes that it would help him emotionally. Ahsoka I believe was originally meant to be Obi-Wan’s second padawan. Ahsoka was much like Anakin with the recklessness, lack of following orders, and being…creative. However it seemed like she was a healthy mix of Kenobi and Skywalker as she didn’t give in to things like Anakin did. Kanan Jarrus: I won’t spoil anything concerning his appearance in Rebels beyond what you already know. Kanan was a 13-15 year old padawan, originally named Caleb Dume, when Order 66 occurred and he was forced to watch as the clones killed his master Depa Billaba. She sacrificed herself for him with her last words being for him to Run, something that haunted him well into Rebels. Kanan trained Ezra for around 5 years and also played a major role in Sabine’s initial training with a lightsaber. Kanan would eventually die near the very end of Rebels, sacrificing himself for the group including Hera who is pregnant at the time. Kanan’s Jedi lineage leads back to Mace Windu who taught Depa Billaba. This leads to Kanan himself and then to Ezra Bridger. Ezra Bridger: Ezra is 14 years old when Rebels starts and around 19 years old when it ends with him disappearing with Thrawn. His parents are long gone and thus he was practically adopted by Hera and Kanan, with Zeb and Sabine being like siblings. Ezra also struggled with the dark side in a good chunk of the show as he believed it could be used to save his friends and defeat the Empire, much like Anakin had believed before him. Maul was also involved in trying to corrupt Ezra so that he could find Kenobi but I won’t expand on that. There are theories that Ezra may have fallen to the darkside in this second galaxy. New Republic Incompetence: The New Republic was honestly doomed from the start. You have senators from the old republic trying to recreate it, even though the old republic was quite corrupt even without sith influence. You also have former imperial senators returning to their positions when the new republic comes in which is practically opening the door for corruption, sabotage, and betrayal. We also already know that there are imperial loyalists and spies all across the New Republic government which does not bode well for getting anything done. Hence why Hera can get almost nothing done. Mothma also supposedly will go on to demilitarize the New Republic which will screw them over so…there’s that too. Jacen Syndulla: Jacen should be 8-9 years old at this point. He also is a twi’lek-human hybrid but the first one i’ve seen to look primarily human without the lekku/headtails. He also seems to wear a pauldron or shoulder guard which is very reminiscent of the one that Kanan wears, so likely a homage to him. It is not known if Jacen is force sensitive at all as we have had very little screen time with him. If he does, depending on the story in this show, he would probably end up being at Luke’s Temple and would thus be there when shit goes down.

Expect for the moment when she sensed ahsoka behind her turned 180 to connect with her bokken or the tone she seemed her moving behind her. Note in this entire scene. Ahsoka's movement sounds were edited out so that she was essentially moving stealthfully Sabine couldn't hear her she could only sense her which she did s free times

I don't need her to be a Jedi i need her to be herself is THE most taken out of context quote on this entire show. The context in which first statement was made was one where Ahsoka is being critical is the Jedi. She said that because she just spent the last several minutes talking about how Marc the Jedi order was. So she doesn't want Sabine to be like them. But refer back to episode one S: you never make things easy on me Master A: there is nothing easy about about being a Jedi S: well then I should have made a good one A: yes, you should have

Baylan is referred to as Lord Baylan But I'm sure it's just because they are Jedi because he doesn't use it for hera. We have also not yet seen anyone is Star Wars who doesn't identify as either a he or a she. I suppose Huyang will probably have a way to address them should that ever come up. Also though of everyone on the show it is actually especially proper that Sabine is called Lady Wren as she is now the Countess of Krownest. Not that you knew this at the time you recorded this video but she is Mandalorian nobility.

The inital critique about Sabine's training arc lost me as a viewer. You expected Sabine to have mastered the force in one training session after she said she couldnt feel the force and the show demonstrated that she didnt have that connection.

Haha except that's not what we said at all. I never expected her to master anything. But if she's actually taking in what Ahsoka is teaching her, she should at least make attempts to tap into it, even if she fails at doing so. I'd like to see her try a few times so we understand more if the discipline can be helpful or if there's no point. If someone tells me I have to sketch every day to get better at drawing, well then I have to sketch. I can't wake up one day and just be magically good. It also raises the question, does she believe Ahsoka? Does she take her training seriously? I think Sabine is frustrated when she can't do things right away. She loves being an expert at stuff. She feels down when she underperforms. If she's going to ever get better at the force, she needs to one: believe it can be done. Two: practice. I think any chance she gets to put that belief into action tells us that she has faith, that Ahsoka was right in saying that there is a connection to the force, if she tries. It takes time. But try. This will be important if she ever has that ah-ha moment. Which would be unsatisfying, as you said, if she suddenly does get it without any practice or training. She can't master it without ever once trying. It's also good to show us if SHE'S right. If she can never tap into the force, and if that's true, well we can't just take her at her word if she never tries. How can she be sure if she doesn't believe? So if she understands that she can't do it after multiple attempts, then it gives her more reasons to compensate in other ways.

She didn't actually say she couldn't feel the force at all. She said "I can't feel it ... Not like you". That not like you is significant. If she wanted to day she can but at all feel the force she was l would have just said "I can't feel it.". Ain't the not like you part means she can but not like Ahsoka.
